The Citrus Bowl is one of college football's premier bowl games, typically played on New Year's Day. The game is played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL The bowl is operated by Florida Citrus Sports, a non-profit group that also organizes the Cheez-It Bowl. The game was first played in 1947 and was known as the Tangerine Bowl, before being renamed the Florida Citrus Bowl in 1983.
