Join us under the canopy at Honolii Orchards for a chocolate tasting experience and farm tour. Learn how cacao is grown and processed and then savor the rich history of chocolate while tasting a minimum of 10 different single origin bars from award winning farms around the Hawaiian Archipelago. Upon arrival, guests will learn about the intricacies of cacao agriculture while walking through lush orchards of colorful cacao trees. Then we'll dive deep into the secret ingredient of craft chocolate, the science of fermentation. After touring the farm we'll move into our luxurious tasting room, perched high above the canopy. While enjoying 10 different single origin Hawaiian chocolates, you'll be guided through a lesson on the rich cultural history of cacao which will bring us all the way from ancient Meso-America, to the exciting modern craft chocolate movement. Through this experience, we'll come to appreciate the incredible diversity of flavor in single origin Hawaiian craft chocolate. Similar to the flavor differences found in wine, craft chocolate is a new frontier in the exploration of terroir - or how genetics and location work together to dramatically influence flavor.
