We pick you up from your hotel or location and transfer you to a wildlife game reserve in the Cradle Of Humankind. We would have sent you a list of what is expected and what you need to bring with you - comfortable walking shoes (sneakers or boots), sun block out +50 facto, water and a hat. The transfer takes approximately 1 hour to get to the mountains and during this time we will assess your fitness and experience. Generally the hike is approximately 2 hours. We also give you a talk on the Cradle of Humankind and wildlife in South Africa.
The hike is situated on a farm with a big dam and many animals including Giraffe, Zebra, Springbok, Warthog, Sable Antelope, Hippo, Rhino, Blesbok and 100's of different species of birds including the Fish Eagle, Crested Eagle, Kingfisher and the amazing finches. This year we have had two sightings of Baby giraffes been born, Its an incredible experience
Its a fun day and you can join us for a lunch and drinks after the hike at the restaurant above the dam. We can organise the hike to be a sunset hike during the summer months
