Overview

Being the third-largest island in the Caribbean, Jamaica hosts a wide array of habitats. On this tour, we will explore various forested mountain ranges, and lush lowland bush giving us what is sure to be some of the finest birding experiences in the Caribbean. These include the gorgeous Red-billed Streamertail (known locally as the doctor bird), Jamaican Mango, Crested Quail-Dove, Jamaican Tody, Jamaican Owl, and Jamaican Blackbird. We hope to find all these, along with many other regional specialties, in a comfortable time frame. Come experience an iconic birders' paradise in this Bird watching tour. Spend the day with us while roaming the high elevation of the blue mountain nature reserve where most of the island's endemic species are spotted. Return to Kingston for lunch then finish the afternoon with a couple of hours in Kingston Hope Gardens where you will be able to spot some of the local resident parrots and depending on the time of year some migratory birds.

Tour depart early morning where your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel. The tour will journey up to the cool hills of the Blue and John Crow Mountains (UNESCO world heritage site)at almost 4000ft above sea level this natural reserve host the rearest of the Jamaica endemic brids. Birding will commence at hardwar Gap where guest will have a chance to view some of the island endemice birds. walk along the rugged roads of the national park. With an early morning start is a perfect to see the Crested Quail Dove. Birders will have the opprotuinty to see the Rufous Throated Solitaire, Jamaican Elaenia, Greater Antillean Bullfinch and the region namesake Blue Mountain Vireo. another exiting factor of birding in this area is a chnce to see the Jamaican Becard, Jamaican Spindalis, and Arrowhead Warbler which may also be present. With localized species in mind 28 out of the 30 endemic have been recorded here. Jamaican Blackbird, White-eyed Thrush and Greater Antillean Elaenia.

You will spend a copule of hours with some of the local resident like the Yellow Billed Parrot and the Black Billed Parrot among other.
