Overview

This guided tour is truly the best experience of Pikes Peak with the most relaxed schedule available. Our tour guide drivers are very friendly, safe, and knowledgable with a full explanation of interesting facts and stories throughout the entire tour. Our passenger vans are roomy and comfortable. Multiple stops are made along the Pikes Peak Highway at various scenic overlooks and structures on the way to the summit at 14,115 ft high. Additional stops can be requested for photo opportunities, wildlife spotting, and extra restroom breaks.
Getting to the summit of Pikes Peak is never a guarantee! Snow, ice on the road, high wind gusts, low visibility, and other factors determine how much of the Pikes Peak Highway will be open at any given moment. This tour will go as far as we are safely permitted to do so. If the summit is closed (which can happen frequently during the months of Nov.-Apr.), we add the following: Garden of the Gods, Gold Camp Road, or Cheyenne Canyon to the tour.

Pikes Peak - America's Mountain
  • 2h
  • Admission ticket included
During our tour of Pikes Peak, we will be making multiple stops at points of interest on our way to the top of the Peak and brand new, state of the art Summit House at 14,115 ft of elevation! Look out for bigfoot!
Bigfoot Crossing Sign
  • 15m
At this point in the tour, a sign has been placed "for your safety" as some of the most credible signings of Bigfoot have taken place near the area. Our tour almost always guarantees a sighting and of course, a photo with him!
Crystal Creek Reservoir
The Crystal Creek Reservoir features the first full look at the entire Pikes Peak mountain set against the body of water. The tour drives directly over the dam of this reservoir which also offers a gift shop, restrooms, and informative plaques for reading about local wildlife and history.
Historic Glen Cove Inn 11,450 ft
  • 10m
The historic Glen Cove Inn is an old ski lodge building which sits just under the timber line along the Pikes Peak Highway. At Glen Cove, you can expect to see the first striking view of the bald top of the mountain, highlighted by snow, most of the year. Also at Glen Cove are the Brake Check station, a gift shop, and restrooms.
Devils Playground
Once the tour reaches the top of the Switchbacks, we see the rock formation and area known as Devil's Playground. We don't want to spoil the surprise by telling you how it got the name!
Bottomless Pit
  • 10m
The Bottomless Pit is as you would expect! Just below the summit of Pikes Peak, the highway nears a steep cliff you can view from the very edge of the road and look down and out across and expansive scene. This location is a favorite for family photos!
Pikes Peak Center
  • 30m
The Summit House on top of Pikes Peak is a gorgeous, state of the art visitors center. In the Summit House, you can try the famous high-altitude doughnuts, learn about the history of the Peak with the exhibit, get your goodies in the gift shop, and experience work-class views throughout eh giant windows facing toward the east. Outside of the Summit House, you can walk around the Peak and experience 360 degree views that stretch all the way into Kansas and New Mexico. Take a photo at the newly installed Summit sign which boasts 14,115 feet of elevations.
