Overview

This gastronomic experience is for lovers of traditional Sicilian culture and cuisine. At the Ortigia market I explain the fresh and preserved Sicilian food, the smart recipes the simple ones of Sicilian, daily and traditional cuisine, made with a few ingredients. At the market there will also be small and various tastings of typical products, I will buy a part of the food for the cooking lesson. The tour lasts an hour, and you will get the family cookbook as a gift.After the market we will go to my house to start your cooking class with tasting in the garden.My villa is located in Arenella, 15 minutes by car from the market, transport is available.
The tour to the market is also available without the cooking lesson at a cost of €50 per person.

Activity itinerary

▪️We will meet at 8.30 at the Ortigia market. The activity will begin with a pleasant walk on the street of the market to discover local food and to do shopping for lunch (Teresa will buy the food). You will do small food tastings and I will explain the typical food and teach you how to cook them in a Sicilian traditional way. The tour to the market lasts an hour. We'll go to my house later in the ARENELLA seaside area, (15 minutes drive from Siracusa) for the lesson. We will make a delicious, traditional meal (3 courses). During the lesson you will be able to cook yourself, I will explain in an engaging, clear and simple way, how to cook recipes even the most elaborate ones. Transport is available at €30 per person.I'll drive you back to Ortigia.If during your vacation you have time for a food experience, this will be delicious and amazing. Follow on insta: Teresa cooking class in the garden. The lesson starts at 8.30 and ends at 1 p.m.
