What you can expect

Join USA Guided Tours on this expedition to the caves of the Shenandoah Mountains. This beautiful region offers a great day trip way from the hustle and bustle of Washington, DC, and presents loads of natural wonders and history dating back to the American Revolution.

First discovered in 1878, the Luray Caverns has over 64 acres to explore! Inside the caves formed by ancient rivers exist two bodies of water and ceilings as tall as 140 ft (43 meters)! It’s even a great place to visit always since it stays a constant temperature of 54F/14C.

Outside the caverns are tons of opportunities for fun for the whole family! You can visit the Luray Valley Museum, Toy Town Junction, and even explore the Carriage and Caravan Museum featuring an 1897 Mercedes-Benz, one of the oldest cars in the country still in operating condition.

Self-paid lunch options are available and offers easy access from all the activities on site. Travelers can choose how they wish to explore the grounds with a variety of activities all included in the price for your convenience. After ample time to explore, we return to Washington, DC on a beautiful scenic drive.
