Frequently asked questions

What's included in a Tolo vacation package?
A Tolo vacation package lets you combine round-trip flights, hotel stays, and a rental car, often featuring hotels with easy access to the area's beautiful beaches. Most resorts in Tolo offer airport shuttle service, connecting travelers to Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport (ATH). Additionally, about half of hotels include free breakfast, adding convenience to your stay.

Exactly what's included will vary by hotel and package, so it's worth reviewing the details before you confirm your booking.
How can I save money on a Tolo vacation package?
When you bundle, you can save up to 30%*. To save money on a Tolo package, consider traveling during the quieter months or be flexible with your dates to find more options. Bundling your flights and hotel together often unlocks savings compared to booking separately. *Members only. Savings vary.
Is Tolo better suited for a beach vacation or a cultural trip?
Tolo is primarily a beach destination, offering a classic Greek seaside experience with clear waters and sandy shores. Travelers on a Tolo vacation can enjoy relaxing days at Tolo Beach, which is about 1 mile from the center, or explore other nearby coastal spots like Psili Ammos beach.

Beyond the beaches, Tolo also provides cultural insights. The area has a rich history, with mentions in Homer's Iliad, and was historically used as a naval base. You can visit sites like Ancient Asine, about 2 miles from central Tolo, which offers archaeological ruins, or explore remnants of fortresses on nearby islands like Daskaleio and Romvi.
What are the top things to do in Tolo?
A Tolo vacation offers a mix of beautiful beaches, historical sites, scenic walks, and island excursions:

Daily cruises to islands like Hydra and Spetses are also offered from Tolo. Browse and book things to do in Tolo on Expedia.
Do you need to rent a car in Tolo, or is public transport enough?
For Tolo vacation packages with flights, a rental car offers the most flexibility for exploring the wider Argolis region and its many beaches and historical sites. While Tolo itself is a compact beach town, a car makes it easier to reach attractions like Ancient Asine or the city of Nafplio.

There is scheduled bus service connecting Tolo to Nafplio, which can be useful for day trips to the larger city. However, for travelers planning to explore beyond Tolo's immediate vicinity or visit multiple beaches, a rental car is recommended. For a Tolo beach vacation package focused solely on relaxing at your resort and the main beach, a car might not be essential for daily needs.
Are there vacation package hotels in Tolo within walking distance of restaurants and shops?
Tolo vacation package hotels can place you within walking distance of restaurants and shops, especially around the main beach area. For example, Flisvos Royal Tolo, a 4-star hotel rated 9.2 out of 10, is about a 5-minute walk from Tolo Beach, putting you close to local eateries and stores.

Similarly, Hotel Serenity Tolo, rated 9.2 out of 10, and Hotel Tolo, rated 9.1 out of 10, are both conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Tolo Beach, offering easy access to the town's amenities. Actual walking routes may differ from straight-line distances, so it's always a good idea to check the map for your selected hotel.
Can I change or cancel my Tolo vacation package if my plans change?
Yes, you can cancel your vacation package via your itinerary page on Expedia or by contacting customer service. Remember that some packages are fully refundable, but the details vary based on each unique booking. A fully refundable package may depend on how far out from the travel dates you're canceling and what airline you are traveling with.

Many bookings allow free cancellation up to a stated deadline (often a few days before travel) where eligible. Read the cancellation terms carefully when reviewing the package, and visit Expedia help center for further details.
