I don't know if this hotel was low in cost compared to others, after all we were only a couple of blocks from The Peabody. But it was fine for our purpose - an overnight - and as it was near the waterfront, restaurants and shopping it made for an interesting and enjoyable walkabout. The rooms were very clean and neat. No grounds to speak of except for a parking lot, pool and a lone gazebo near the road. The continental breakfast was limited and there was nothing to the lobby, only a seat or two, so you had to eat in your room. It had rained and although we were told someone would come and wipe down the gazebo seats, we waited nearly half and hour and they didn't. But, it served our purpose - although I think the price was higher than it should have been.

"spacious room with a great view of the Mississippi"
Big spacious room with a great view of the Missississippi. Breakfast was good with many choices. Front desk people were very friendly and helpful. The location was great: right across the street from Mud Island; walking distance to Beale St and Bass Pro Shop in the Pyramid. Trolley bus is 1/2 block away.

"Convenient location to/from freeway and downtown "
There was some commotion with hotel guests--when I reported it, the staff immediately took care of the problem. The staff was so very accommodating from that time on to insure that I was comfortable and had all the information and service needed. I do believe it also had a lot to do with my reservation that stated "Expedia"!!
