"Nice hotel close to a metro station"
Located near a metro station and in a nice area. There are lots of restaurants, convenience stores, and shops nearby. There is also a shrine worth visiting within walking distance. The room was small, but it had everything we needed. The bathroom was also small, but clean.

"Everything you need in Asakusa area"
This hotel was clean, comfortable and close to Asakusa and the SkyTree, at a great price. Soap, shampoo and conditioner were considered extras that you could buy at the front desk, which I think is a practice that more hotels should adopt to reduce waste and keep prices low!

"Great option for families or business travelers!"
The hotel offers a true Japanese experience with many western features including a large room and western bath. Bath toiletries are provided including shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap dispensers, toothpaste, toothbrush, hair brush, make up set with cotton pad and Q tip. Bath sponges are provided each day in lieu of washcloths. Four of us stayed very comfortably in a triple room which had two double beds and a twin. There are no English TV stations however there are Video On Demand movies available for $10/day. The hotel location is close to the Ryogoku station which requires traveling one station to transfer to direct lines for the Tokyo and Shinjuku stations. The Edo Museum is very close by as well as the Sumo wrestling stadium. The hotel is also very close to Asakusa which has a fabulous temple and authentic shopping area. Hotel offers Internet with a LAN cable so bring a wireless router if WiFi is needed for computers, tablets, cell phones, etc. If a three prong grounded plug is needed please bring an adapter. Hotel staff do not speak a lot of English but are very anxious to help in any way possible. Would highly recommend staying here!

"Nice modern hotel, excellent location"
We stayed in a twin room on the 13th floor with the Tokyo Skytree tower view. You can see the hotel from Kinshicho JR platform. Kinshicho JR station has a lift from the platform to the exit. We arrived from Narita Airport in the morning and left the luggage at the reception. When we returned to the hotel to check-in later, the suitcases were already delivered to the room. The room was quiet and clean. There were 2 pieces of chocolate, Japanese teabags and 2 tea cups, slippers, 2 toothbrushes and small tube of toothpaste, a hairbrush, wash cloth, razor, cottonbud, and a shower cap. There was an air purifier and a small fridge. The bathroom was Japanese style, which had a short and deep bath tub and tiled showering area with drainage. A basket to leave clothes outside the bathroom was provided. The toilet was separate with a warm seat and an electric device to wash bottom with warm jet of water if you want to use. Hence the washbasin is not in the bathroom. TV has an English language channel called CNN.. For guests in a hurry, there is an express check-out machine, where you put your room key and find out how much to pay if any. You can get Japanese yen from ATM in the convenience store in the basement. The beds are big, which makes less room to walk. Enough room for suitcases in the hall area of the room. Good layout/design.

"Good for the price."
My only complaint was the AC in my room only produced hot air. Room itself was larger than other single rooms I stayed in. Very easy to find from Ryogoku station. Also very close to Sumida river.

"Good hotel for Japanese speakers"
I got the room on sale which made it worthwhile. Ayase can be difficult to get to if you are new to Tokyo and have lots of luggage Everything is in Japanese so it probably wouldn't be suitable to people that can't speak the language. The room was nice, good view, clean and the staff were friendly, although they didn't know how to get to narita airport from the hotel

"rare gem in Tokyo"
This modern ryokan in the Asakusa district of Tokyo is famous for its antiques filled interior and has been used to film period movies. It may look like it belongs in the time of the samurai, but it offers every modern comfort: the rooms have telephone, flat screen TV, safe, a thermos of green tea and minibar, and the bathrooms supply toothbrushes, shower caps and bath products. Two public baths are available for same gender bathing in alternance: cedar wood from 4 pm to 11 pm, then stone from 11 pm to 10 am. Yukata (traditional robe), happi coat and slippers are provided to relax in around the hotel. There is a lounge behind reception with books and more antiques. The food is abundant and delicious, served in one of the spacious dining room at a low table reserved with your name written on an origami crane (a symbol of good luck and fortune). Upon departure you're presented with a luggage tag engraved with your name.

Pocket Guide: Tokyo Asakusa 3 stars Hotels

Today visited for its Sensoji Temple, Five Storied Pagoda, and the Nakamise traditional shopping arcade, this festive neighborhood once was the city’s hot spot for drinking and dancing. Though it never experienced the development that Ginza and others have, it holds its own with an artistic community and some of the city’s top attractions.
