We travelled straight from Fukuoka International Airport to Beppu using a bus that allowed us to alight near Beppu City Hall. From there, it was an easy 5-minute walk. "The hotel itself is in a great location with amazing services and teams. The room we stayed in was nice and big and was restocked when needed. I definitely like that we need to take our shoes off at the entrance and the entire hotel is covered in tatami mats! My only issue is that this hotel is used by a lot of foreign tour groups who may not be the most polite people. We had lots of people push in queues for food or drinks, not clean properly before getting in the onsen, etc. so beware of...

"I think a lot of the Onsen properties are on the hillside above the city proper which is down the hill quite a ways. You need to drive to get to downtown area which is rather bustling. It was nice to be in a quiet area. Just a short drive is everything you need including lots of good eateries they're quite reasonable. "
