Pros: Had cookies available in the lobby.
Cons: Provide a coffee maker in the room.
Location: Go to a diner next door, great food.
Clean room, might be nice to have a coffee pot. Came in late and it was freezing cold, our room was nice & warm the unit heated up the room fast.

Hotel "close" to big bendPosted Jan 3, 2014
Staff not friendly or helpful. they don't require payment at booking so they can sink u with fees. Ended paying 50% more than listed price. Many more better hotels in town. run down, dirty. 1 star

Nice locationPosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: Ease of location to everything we could have needed. Resturants, convience store, varity store, and easy access to downtown.
Cons: Needs a coffe pot in the rooms...
I stayed at the Value Inn last year, and again this year, and will defenitly stay there next year. Great owners, clean rooms, clean sheets, clean bathrooms. Easy to get into downtown, and shopping, located close to our equestrian events. Value Inn had enough parking for my truck and horse trailer without crowding anyone else...Will recommend Value Inn to everyone...

AMERICAN LEGION CONVENTION IN ALPINE,TXPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: ROOM WAS CLEAN, NO BUGS, CHECK-IN WAS EASY, LATE CHECK IN WAS AUTH AND BED WAS GREAT. HAD EVERYTHING I NEEDED FOR MY STAY
Cons: THE OUTSIDE NEEDS TO BE FIXED. BECAUSE THE BUILDING IN THE CENTER LOOKS BAD AND WILL MAKE YOU THINK "I DON'T KNOW IF I WANT TO STAY THERE"
Location: GREAT LOCATION EVERYTHING NEAR-BY
IS WAS A GREAT STAY. THE PROBLEM WAS THE ICE MACHINE WAS ACROSS THE STREET. I HAD TO HAVE SOMEONE WALK WITH ME TO GET ICE.THAT MADE IT UNSAFE. AND THE BUILDING IN THE CENTER NEEDS TO BE FINISHED BECAUSE IT WILL MAKE A PERSON NOT WANT TO STAY THERE. I ALMOST DIDN'T STAY BECAUSE OF THAT. WE GO TO THE CONVENTION EVERY YEAR AND THIS WILL ALWAYS BE MY 2ND CHOICE BECAUSE THE OAK TREE HAVE BREAKFAST AND THAT WILL BE MY 1ST CHOICE. THE PRICE WAS GREAT. WE WERE NEAR EVERYTHING.

Ok HotelPosted Aug 3, 2013
Pros: The rooms were very nice & had a refrigerator.
Cons: The odor the room had.
Location: Location near Big Bend & monahans State park. Alpine is a very neat town to visit.
Hotel stay was ok. Not a Holiday Inn or Best Western, but for the price, it was ok. The hotel looks dated from the outside, but the rooms look like they were recently remodeled. Very nice & modern feel. Funny odor in the room, but very clean. I am OCD about cleanliness, & this hotel passed my standards and we stayed 3 nights. Hotel staff was nice & location was good too. Felt pretty safe.

Not flexiblePosted Jul 31, 2013
Pros: pet friendly
Cons: Be more understanding about situations beyond control and curve their cancellation policy.
Location: The location is ok, situated in an accessible and easy to find area.
The room was clean, old and worn and my pet was welcome which was the main reason for staying here. Initially I booked two rooms for one night, Sunday. My cousins whom I was supposed to meet arrived a day sooner Saturday. I called the hotel and booked an extra night on one of my rooms and traveled a day sooner. My parents would follow on Sunday to occupy one of the one night rooms, however my father grew ill and was not able to travel. I told the manager my situation but she refused to cancel the reservation.. It was very disappointing because she did not even consider that I booked one of the rooms an extra night, in essence I would have paid two rooms as I had initially planned, however I ended up paying for 3 and one I did not even use, nor would have anyone else because there were only a few cars in the parking lot Monday morning. Management was not flexible at all. However, I wish them well and may they prosper, but I will not stay there again.

Good overnight ValuePosted May 14, 2013
Location: Did not have time to see shops,galleries-closed on Sunday when we left at12noon. Will be back.
We were just staying overnight for family function. Fridge not to cold but we did not need it. microwave. Comfortable bed-good night sleep. Quiet. They have coffee in office and cookies. Coffee weak, no taste. We had breakfast at Bread n Breakfast Bakery-platter size pancakes.. Dinner at Reata Restaurant. Could not stop eating the black bean nachos. Stopped at Brown Dog Garden. Left Sunday after breakfast.

OK if you want to save money.Posted Apr 14, 2013
Pros: The price.
Cons: Old motel with out of date rooms.
Location: On edge of town in dying neighborhood.
We knew it was cheap, but didn't except it to be that bad. The king room was just a little bigger than the bed. The pet fee was advertised at 12$ per night, but we were charged 72$ or 12$ per pet per night. It was very hard to understand the staff as they did not speak acceptable English as their native language was something(?) else.

Location: May be a stop when goint to Big Bend
Small motel in the middle of nowhere. Nice stop when going to Big Bend. Good to sleep overnight when you are tired. Almost no breakfast, only coffee.
