Great location, nice staff, but disappointing room

Posted Apr 14, 2014
The location is prefect. It is very close to everything and has a great view of the ruins. The rooms are clean and the woman cleaning them was extremely nice. Unfortunately, the rooms were smaller than expected, even for European hotels. The "simple" decor turned out to look budget and the bed was uncomfortable. The pictures advertized made the rooms look nicer than actual. Nice hotel if you are looking for a 3 star. However, it isn't on par with other 4 star European hotels. Adjust your expectations.

Pros: Everything
Cons: A fitness room would have been nice.
Location: Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, Acropolis Museum all within walking distance.
The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. They got me in touch with a wonderful spa and helped me with my cab to the airport. The views, from the Rooftop Restaurant, were incredibly breathtaking. I would definitely go back.

Right n the heart of Athens

Pros: Loved the view from the rooftop restaurant ( the 4th best in the world)! Excellent communication with staff and when my friend visited. Responded to r
Cons: Cooked breakfast left in metal containers too long. Warm water supplied for tea affected the brew! Suggest teapots .
Location: Wonderful location . Best of Athens within walking distance + gorgeous views from the hotel.
We stayed for one week. We were visiting friends as well as sightseeing. All the staff were cheerful and helpful.

Great location, views and super friendly staff.

Posted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: People, great breakfast, location, nice clean and spacious rooms.
Cons: Could use noise-cancelling windows and patio doors!
Location: Right off of Plaka, short walk to the new Acropolis museum, across from Temple of Zeus and close to the (old) Olympic Stadium.
We loved the people at this hotel. It was right outside of Plaka and had amazing views of the Acropolis and the Temple of Zeus from every room, but the special part were the staff. Front desk and especially the breakfast servers were so nice! Ready to help or provide advice or assistance at any moment. Only downside is that it was pretty noisy from being on the main road, but the rest made up for it.

Comfortable stay at Athens near Acropolis

Posted Apr 9, 2014
We stayed for 5 nights at a regular room facing the back street for business and sightseeing. Although the minimalist-oriented hotel does not offer fancy facilities such as a swimming pool, a spa, or fitness facilities, the room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff people here are very nice. They do charge hefty fees for in-room wifi, but free wifi was offered at a modern lobby space with early morning free coffee and cookies (~6 am). A view from the roof-top garden restaurant is excellent, where they offer American-style breakfast with fresh ingredients from Greece. The location is great within a walking distance from Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, a metero station, a Syntagma airport bus terminal, and other attractions. A mini mart that sells beer and wine are located at a few blocks from the hotel. I would definitely go back there if I have a chance to visit Athens again.

Great Hotel in downtown Athens

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Excellent location, we were really happy with the location of the hotel as it was within walking distance of all the major sites. The hotel room was very nice- modern, clean with lots of space for luggage. Only downside is the street traffic can be heard through the windows, and the walls are very very thin (as in could hear entire conversations in the room next door). The lobby area is very nice with couches, a bar, and free wifi. Lots of shops and places to eat just a few blocks away in the Plaka district. Would def stay here again if coming to Athens!

Excellent position in the centre of Athens

Posted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: The position in the centre of Athens, the rooftop view, the comfort, cleanliness and helpfulness of staff. Also the breakfast - all very fresh.
Location: Walking distance to the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, Syntagma Square. A bit further, but still walking to the Agora, Roman Forum, Filoppolous Hill.
We chose this hotel for its position and weren't disappointed. It's on the edge of the Plaka district, so convenient for restaurants, bars. Close to the foot of the Acropolis and within easy walking of other sites. The best thing is its rooftop restaurant/bar, with a 360 degree view of Athens. Brilliant view of the Acropolis or the Temple of Zeus as you eat breakfast. Also looks great after dark with your dinner or a drink. Akropoli metro station is a few minutes away,

Great views but no in-room free Wi-Fi

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Spectacular view of Temple of Zeus, great location, and VIP treatment. The box breakfast for early flights is a nice touch.
Cons: Free in-room Wi-Fi. Frost the bathroom window that looks into the main room. Shower alarm pull chain should be longer to be useful.
Location: For 12 euros, you can visit the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, ancient Agora, Roman Agora, and two other sites within walking distance over several days.
Our 6th floor, corner room with spectacular view of Temple of Zeus was preferable to the Acropolis view on the other side due to the many construction cranes around it and in the neighborhood. Superior double-room was small for 2 adults and a child, though. The staff was attentive and helpful. VIP treatment was satisfying. Excellent location. Free in-room Wi-Fi should be included, which I would expect of a 4-star hotel.
