A Friendly Staff and Great LocationPosted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The rooms have air conditioning. The beds are comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom windows are open to the outside so mosquitos get in at night unless you keep the door to the bathroom closed. Breakfast is not too good.
Location: The Verona Spa is a two minute walk and has all of the treatments. Cafe Wayan is an excellent Balinese restaurant. Bali Pesto has great pizza.
I've stayed at this hotel many times because it's in a great location right in the middle of Monkey Forest Road. It's easy to walk to all of the major attractions in Ubud like the Monkey Forest which is only a 10 minute walk. They have free WiFi, a nice pool, and very helpful staff. Don't expect luxury. This is more of a place to be if you like to be in the center of everything. It's quiet and comfortable but please don't stay here for your entire vacation or you will miss out on the true Bali experience. Move about the island, staying a few days at each place.

Not the best hotel -advertising is incorrectPosted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Good location, staff relatively friendly and helpful. Pool quite nice.
Cons: The advertising for this hotel needs to be improved so it is not misleading. There was no cable tv as advertised and no tea and coffee facilities.
Location: Ubud is a great location to stay. Lots of restaurant and shops. A little less busy and slightly cooler than kuta/seminak but great for a short stay.
Our first room was absolutely terrible, stunk so much of mould that we spent $10 on bleach and air fresher. There was no tea or coffee facilities and not even a fridge. The bathroom was so disgusting I used the toilet near reception rather than having to be in that room. The air con didn't work and there was no cable tv as advertised only Balinese channels. The first night stray cats tried to get I. The window and we think they had probably been sleeping in the rooms when unoccupied. The room was so mouldy it was making me cough and feel sick that we complained. They moved us to a superior room that was cleaner and at least didn't smell like mould. The new room was nicer and aleast had a small fridge to keep water cold but had no tea or coffee making facilities and no tv channels in English. The bathroom was clean, but looked nothing like the photos advertised. When I raised this with the staff they said they had told expedia but they kept advertising wrong, which is disappointing. Breakfast was included, it was tasty enough (4 choices off a set menu, but only 3 available) and when we tried to add extras and pay for hem we were told that we can only have the set menu , no extras. Staff at the hotel were friendly and polite. It is in a good location and pool is nice. It is an ok hotel to stay in, provided you don't get the standard room at the back (go at least superior) and don't believe the advertising which is misleading.

Centralt beliggende hotelPosted Jul 21, 2014

Good location but cheaper rooms oldPosted Jul 13, 2014 on Hotels
The location of this hotel in central Ubud is great, close to everything. The staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room was quite old - air conditioner barely worked, no fridge, no safe, rusty bathtub and very few of the power points worked. It was hard to believe that we paid the same for this hotel as the ones we stayed at in Sanur - the quality wasn't even comparable. On the positive side - the bed was comfortable, the rooms were quiet despite being in central Ubud, the grounds were lovely as were the staff.

Great StayPosted May 26, 2014 on Hotels
Had a great stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Awesome location in the middle of Monkey Forrest Road. Very close to many restaurants, spas and the monkey forrest. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. Huge bed, large bathroom, great balcony and very quiet considering the location. Would definitely return.
