Nice hotel close to the airport

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: A huge range of facilities, shops, etc. Large rooms, hygienic.
Cons: Availability of the interpreter, plus more staff to be taught English.
Location: Close to airport.
I found the hotel to be a very good, one, it had so many facilities, including a gym and swimming pool, shops, tourist information service, etc. The rooms were large, and the hygiene excellent. The biggest problem was that most of the staff spoke little English and could not always help as much as they wanted to due to the language barrier.

It is OK for a night's stay at the airport

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: They do have shuttle from the airport to the hotel and it is fairly close to the airport.
Cons: The responsiveness of the registration desk staff was barely acceptable. Exorbitant "taxi" rates to the airport.
Location: Nothing to see / do nearby. Airport is 5 minute drive.
Not much to say about it. It is a big facility with decent rooms. Nothing too special. If you need only one night at / around Beijing Capital Airport, this will do. If you need a taxi to get to the airport, they will overcharge you (50-60 Yuan) for a 4-5 minute drive using an un-registered private / pirate car. They have a shuttle that operate at regular business hours, but if you have an early flight, you may be out of luck.

I asked the front how to make an international phone call, they said the business centre closed and they can not help. As an international hotel, they should be more responsive towards this kind of support.

Great airport stopover

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Very clean, comfortable and spacious room; upholstery and carpets very clean; couldn't get internet on 11th floor. Breakfast had enough variety. Beware of extras like laundry - costs more than estimate; Mosquitos daytime in hotel lobby due to nearby lake. Leisure facilities if you have time for them. Expedia needs to give details about airport shuttle - airport staff clueless- T2 across road in car park and T3 outside.

Just okay.

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: The lobby was attractive.
Cons: Restaurant service. Ceiling fans if air conditioning is not available.
Location: We were only here one night to be closer to the airport for an early flight.
I expected more. Very hot day and no air conditioning. We were told it is not turned on until May 15th. Terrible experience at one of the restaurants. Ended up canceling the meal. Three of our guests had received their meal and finished eating and mine had not yet been served. Management did take the price off the bill. Airport shuttle was also over booked.

Good hotel near Beijing Airport

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: For the quality it was relatively inexpensive and the shuttle service ran as advertized.
Cons: The air conditioning in May might not run and the temps can get pretty warm in Beijing
The Citic hotel was excellent. Located near the Beijing Airport, it fit all of our needs for a one night stay. Clean, modern, and a shuttle service were it's strong points. The shuttle schedule to the airport was changed recently so the web site info may be out of date. It did run on time, and on the new schedule. It also offers limited shuttle service into the city. Check with the information booth for directions to the pick up point. Located on the bottom level of Terminal 3, across the street from door number 5. Rooms were nice and clean and up to Western standards. The only drawback (like most hotels in China) is that the Air conditioning is off, and only comes on when the room temp exceeds 26 degrees Celsius (79 degrees Fahrenheit.

Great hotel, close to the airport

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Comfortable, soft beds;
Cons: Upstairs got warm at night - had difficulty adjusting the thermostat
Location: Close to the airport with a free shuttle
Enjoyed our stay very much. Was surprised to see the room included a sitting area with a loft for the bed and bathroom. Only problem was inconsistent Wifi connections and the fact that we didn't realize that when you turned out the lights downstairs, the outlets also turned off, so computers didn't get charged overnight. The bed was very comfortable and soft, which was a nice change from most hotel beds in China!
