The breakfast was not at the level I was expecting, especially the coffee, but my room rate was quite affordable at the time of my stay. The outdoors view over the area was excellent and the room was clean and amenities to standard. After requesting ice and calling twice, it still took half an hour to receive the ice in our room, much longer than I was expecting. This is my favorite hotel in the world! This is our second stay here as a family and everything was beyond perfect. We stayed here while running the Great Wall marathon and the wonderful general manager, Dale Parkington was waiting for us in the lobby upon our return to offer congratulations! My 10 year old son loves the toiletries at the Ritz Carlton and Julia had a special basket made up for him with all the lotion, shampoo and conditioner a child could want! The best part was the brilliant personalized card they made using a photo of our family from our last stay, welcoming us back. This personalized touch is in addition to the gorgeous rooms, spa, restaurants etc... we will be back for our son’s 11th birthday, and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
