Don't do it!Posted Feb 28, 2015
It took over 1/2 hour for the desk clerk to get a key that would work so that she could get us a room. When she finally did, the door wouldn't open with the key even though the green light came on so the desk clerk had to push it open. There were no towels. We couldn't open the door to get out of the room. There was no phone in the room. The room was dusty. All that was available at the free breakfast were 3 apples and a tangerine (that were there when we arrived the night before) as well as some loaf bread. No more Baymonts for us!

Good value for the moneyPosted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Price, location, room quality.
Cons: Stairs, elevator, and most of the outside need paint.
Location: Its in a good area with no caution/concern issues and a short drive (10 mins) from the Galleria mall. Its near many restaurants and stores.
The rooms at this hotel are = and $100 hotel at a much lower price. The rooms overall are great. The hotel facilities are worn and most parts could use a good coat of paint. If that happened, this would be a great hotel overall. Its in a good area with no caution/concern issues and a short drive (10 mins) from the Galleria mall. I will definitely stay here again.

Bate's MotelPosted Feb 23, 2015
The first room they gave me smelled, the television didn't work, and the phone didn't work. I went down to the front desk and I took the clerk to my room to show him. I was moved to another room. A couple hours later I was going to take a shower. I called the first desk. The clerk was irritated that I didn't notice the missing towels. That I should have asked the maid when they were there. I checked in at 5:00. He finally decided give me some after I said this was the worst hotel experience ever. He told me I had to come get them. I was like I just changed clothes. Finally he decided to bring them to me. I stayed before a year ago it was fine this time Never Again.

DisappointedPosted Feb 23, 2015
Cons: Cleanliness - furniture needs repairing or replacement.
All the furniture in the room was falling apart - wobbly or doors dropping off. My bed was fine but my husband said he felt springs in his. The floors had visible crumbs, etc. under table and chairs, and I'll just say "left items" under the sink cabinet. The key card would not open the door and had to go back to get fixed. The door looked like someone had tried to break in a past time. The knob was off the hvac unit and we had intermittent warm air followed by cold air coming out of the unit. The front desk person was very polite and came later to see if I had been able to open the door. He also placed us on the ground floor since my husband was handicapped. The motel seemed at full capacity.

Poorly Maintained, Needs WorkPosted Feb 17, 2015
The staff was warm and welcoming. The room was clean, but the table wobbled, One of the chair armed was broken, shower wall was being held together with caulk, shower valve leaked, the hair dryer was ripped out of the wall, there was no phone and the breakfast was weak.

Hotel was excellent for the pricePosted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: Pleasent and helpful staff

This hotels daytime desk clerk was excellent, she should set the standard for the entire Baymont Inn chain.

Charged an extra day...Posted Jan 25, 2015
I stayed this hotel for 2 days. I advised them that I would be leaving early in the morning on my second day and they told me to leave my key cards in the room showing that I was checking out. When I made an enquiry the third day on an unrelated subject, they told me they had charged my room and additional day. They apologized and told me they would credit my account but it makes me wonder how many people have been charged additional days at this particular Baymont.

Matches the pricePosted Jan 12, 2015
Cons: Just about everything
Location: Not a fan of Birmingham, but had to be there
Hard bed, a little rough looking facility, staff that didn't care, toilet broke and running all night, but bed was clean and hotel is very cheap, ok
