The best!Posted Apr 12, 2013
Spent an entire week sightseeing in Cairo, but booked this hotel for a short stay before flying out of the Borg El Arab Airport. I think our time at Iberotel was the best part of our trip! The staff were super friendly & accomedating. The beach was absolutely beautiful & clean. I wish I could have spent more time at this hotel.

Worst stay everPosted Mar 12, 2013
Location: 35 km away from anything
This is one of the worst experiences I would ever have may be. First the hotel is 35 km away from anything. The room did not have internet, There was no water in the room, and when we asked for a bottle they sold it 15 times higher than outside. the breakfast was terrible. In fact there was couple of guests only at this huge place. although we reserved a 5 days stay we could not stand another day, so we left the next day to stay at the Sheraton. Unfortunate we could not change our reservation so we paid for a new stay and lost the advantage of reserving online.

One of my best short trip I have to say. Booked for a night stay before going to Alexandria city. Arrived at Borg El Arab airport at 3am however had some problems with bags and the taxi driver was not sure the exact place of the hotel, even though it wasn't too far away (maybe 20 minutes or less from the airport).Ending up arriving at the hotel at 4.30am and both my wife and I were extremely tired. However things got much better the moment we arrived. Was greeted by a fine gentleman at reception who also gave us a late check out at 3pm, but I think it's because of winter time and there are many rooms available.). The best part was the beautiful white sandy beach together with the bright blue sea which was such a perfect combination , and the hotel provided nice canopies along it. I have yet to see such a beautiful haven like this, and coming out from a person who lives in around Thailand and Malaysia, I have seen a lot of beautiful beaches before. The weather was just perfect around 25 degrees with some sun despite it was winter season. The only thing missing were things like jetski I wonder if they have it in summer...

Very good hotel out of city jam and great seaviewPosted Nov 22, 2012
Pros: Seaview, two big swimming pools, no city jam.
Cons: As I was in low season, it was quite boring because not too much people stay, not all facilities available, menu choice is poor.
Location: CClose to Borg El Arab airport and quite far from Alexandria city.
Actually it seems like to be a 4-star hotel. My room was free of charge upgraded to chalet with a small terrace and a great seaview. LCD TV, fridge, a/c, safe, telephone, hairdryer, kettle, free tea bags and coffe sachets. Staff is very helpful and polite. Lots of facilities: gym, disco, kids area, volleyball, soccer, tennis, table tennis, 2 swimming pools, restaurant, etc... Food quality was good but the choise was poor, perhaps because of low season. Breakfast bufet had no variations. Beach iswas not very clean. Caution: the hotel is quite far from Alexandria itself.

more like a 3 star hotel!Posted Aug 29, 2012 on Hotels.com
Many issues with this Hotel, (NOt a 5 star hotel for sure!) we had issues with hot water in our room, booked a triple superior room, gave us 1 king size bed and sofa bed, they didn't have a menu to order from, for in room service, (Recommend that you call them first and ask if they will charge you extra over there for your kids) The food was not good at all, good variety, but not the quality that you would expect from a 5 star hotel, in short, my wife refused to have dinner there again after the first night. . Didn't have hot water right away, but sometimes, if I wait few mins it will warm up alittle. THank God we didn't go in the winter. The Lobby bar has the same cheap all in one coffee machine that's typically available in airport lounges or else where, where you can make yourself a free quick latte , only they have no problem charging for it! my wife ordered " milk shake", came like just heavy cream milk! when she complained about how bad it tastes, the waiter answered " this is how we always make it" ! so she returned it, and they still charged us for it ! This hotel was originally build as a Hilton, can easily understand why it's not a "Hilton" any more. will not stay there again.
