Vagabond Inn Chico

I don't know if this is a normal at the place, but it seemed to be party central for a bunch of 20 and 30 somethings. I was there to rest before the Almond Bowl race the next morning and the party people kept going until after 4 a.m. I had to get up at 6 a.m. Needless to say, I didn't get much rest. I called the front desk but nothing much changed. If you want to party, maybe this is a good place for you. If you want to sleep, not so good. To be fair, maybe I hit it on a bad night, but I won't risk going there again to stay when I want sleep. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. No problem there. Just the noise!!!

The room was clean and comfortable, but it needs more exterior lighting to make the property feel inviting and secure.

It was cheap, so I didn't expect much. The door locked and there was water, the sheets seemed clean, but one of the lamps didn't have a light bulb and the shower towels were like hand towels.

This place is what it is. It is a place to sleep when you are in Chico. It is not a boutique hotel with a huge price tag. The room was clean and cheap. The staff was easy to deal with and the place felt safe.

The rooms were dirty, old and unclean. The walls are paper thin and the beds were very uncomfortable. Very disappointed in everything. We would not stay there again...ever!

The Vagabond Inn Chico CA is quite disappointing. Smelly, hot, shabby, needing basic cleaning. The first non smoking room the front desk person assigned me stunk of cigarette smoke. He kindly offered me another room that smelled of urine. The final choice was the smell of stale beer spilled. There were no other hotels available in town that night, I was exhausted, so I cranked up the noisy air conditioner and collapsed on the bed. The rooms were all stuffy and hot. I can honestly say this was the second worst hotel experience I have ever had.

So the price is low so you definitely get what you pay for. It is very conveniently located though.
