Terrible, awful hotel

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: nothing
Unfortunately my experience was so awful I have nothing good to say- I actually saw cockroaches and had to kill a few with my shoes- I did not even want to sleep there but all rooms in the area were sold out- so this was my last choice- I had to sleep with the lights on to keep the cockroaches away- curtains in the front would not close right- so anyone could just look in if they wanted- the door to the bathroom would not close right because of the toilet being in the way- you had to put the toilet seat lid up to close the door- the fan in the bathroom was falling off- the smoke alarm in the front room was falling off- It was a horrible night of no sleep- I highly recommend that this hotel be taken off the expedia list -

Terrible. Do not stay at this hotel.

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything. I should have asked for a refund but probably would not gotten one.
The worst hotel ever!!! It has been change to University Inn and it is disgusting. The room was dirty with stains on the floor, wall and bed. There was no refrigerator or microwave like it said in the description. There were bugs in the bedroom and in the bathroom. There was mold all over the shower/tub. The telephone did not work and there was no remote for the tv. At 2:00 in the morning there were people drinking and talking and the hotel did nothing about it.

Steer clear

Had to get a last minute hotel for a wedding. First off, it's not a Vagabond hotel anymore. The room they gave us smelled terrible and had no window screens. As we checked in, the parking lot was pretty active with a variety of people. We left immediately and decided to just drive home. Would not recommend.

We found an open bag of popcorn under our bed that we did not eat. Who knows how long it had been there. Also, we specifically wanted a non-smoking room and the room reeked of cigarettes upon arrival.

If your desperate for a bed

Posted Aug 25, 2014
We would only go back If everything is booked out. Room is stuck in the 1980's and could do with an update, while the room was clean it stunk of smoke and you had to run around the shower to get wet. Air conditioner smelt when it was turned on, fortunately it was cool at night. Don't worry about the continental breakfast, better going to Starbucks. I do have to remind myself it was a budget $70 stay.

Not worth the discounted price!

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Close to CSU Chico campus. That was the only perk. The front door would stick, the bathroom door was 1/2 shattered and did not close, the sheets had holes in them. The general appearance of the room was dirty with stains on the floor. A dirty place, and I felt uncomfortable with my kids there. The hotel staff were nice, but overall the hotel needed major repairs and upgrades. Even with the discounted price, the room rates listed on the door were cheaper. I would not recommend this hotel!

The hotel was a dump

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Pleasant staff and close to campus
Cons: The hotel needs a major overhaul
Location: About 3 blocks from the CSU Chico campus
The only thing I could say positive about this hotel was it proximity to the Chico campus. Oh, and the staff was pleasant. Otherwise, the place was really decrepit. Just.... old, with dingy bedding, carpets, bathroom. I would never stay there again.

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: not much
Cons: almost everything especially the bathroom
Location: close to downtown area
very diappointed in the rooms. Expected more for the price. Old conditon of bathroom was one of the worst I have been in.
