Short scenic walk to the beautiful lake and recreation park which is 0.8 mile downhill from the house. Be mindful that you are in the mountains so some roads might be steep to walk for kids and elderly guests. Local activities: fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, beach area & 300-ft waterslides, paddle boats or explore to the Village for shops, restaurants, antique stores and a bowling alley.

New Foam Gel mattress topper added for comfort and support
* Like most houses in the mountains, the house does not have air conditioner. The house is sit at a higher elevation overseeing the beautiful lake down below and gets nice breeze most of the time which make the house even cooler.  And, it gets even cooler or cold at night time.
We supply 2 protable fans and 2 evaporative air coolers with ice trays to cover super hot summer days. It only gets very hot a few days in a year historically.
* The couch in the living room is protected with waterproof cover so it is easy to clean and worry free from accidental spills and stains.
* The motion-detection lights turn on automatically at night for safety. If it bothers some guests, you are welcome to tape the sensor temporary while you stay.
* The house is not suitable for babies or younger kids as no baby gate or high chair provided as described on the listing.
*Extra outdoor tables and chairs are available without protected cover that could be dusty.

It Was "Good Enough"
We rented this home so that we could watch the fireworks from the deck, so I'm aware that we probably paid more for the special event than what they normally charge. It was way overpriced for the quality of the home. We did, in fact, watch a beautiful firework show so I cannot complain about that. However, I am from the mountains so we visit a lot to see family and I would not rent this home again or recommend it to friends. The house honestly felt like a bachelor pad. There was nothing warm and homey about it. The centerpiece on the table was a bottle of rubbing alcohol and tissues. The couches were very uncomfortable and you could feel air flow out of them when you sat. They had couch covers which made me wonder how old they were underneath. The beds were very hard, the upstairs queen bed felt like a box spring only. There was a game closet but every single one was missing pieces. It was not a very kid-friendly home. There was nothing for babies or younger kids (like a baby gate, high chair). The worst thing was the motion-detection lights. It's not great to walk to the bathroom or getting up with the baby in the middle of the night and the light pops on! A few nice touches would have been drinking glasses, clean and full soap containers, plugs/chargers on nightstands (most were hidden behind beds and couches), clocks in the bedrooms. Overall, it was good enough but I wouldn't have paid that much for the quality if I knew.

Great stay!
Went for the 4th of July firework show and it did not disappoint! Beautiful view of the lake! The beds were a little hard and not too comfortable but overall we had an amazing stay! Would recommend!!!
