"Nice hotel with professional, friendly, hospitable staff near Acropolis, its Museum, dining choices, and walkable to almost everything touristy. They were sending complementary wine in my room. I respectfully declined since I don’t drink alcohol. They suggested a fruit plate instead. I will be back."

The hotel’s at a prime location with so many cafes and restaurants nearby, and only 20 min walk to Fira. Staff were all so friendly, especially Maria at reception. She was very welcoming and hospitable, and gave us so many recommendations for local restaurants and basic information about the island as it was our first time in Santorini. "The Tamarix is a beautiful quant small property, quite unlike typical western hotels. It feels like a home. The staff was exceptional. The beach is within walking distance as are several great restaurants. It was our first visit to Santorini. This hotel is in Kamari which does not look like the picture postcards of Santorini.
