"What a lovely place to spend a short break. The selling point of this hotel is the location and the views of the lake. It’s just so convenient and we could walk everywhere we wanted to go without worrying about transport. We did have a slight drainage issue in our room but were moved to another room without fuss and the reception staff were helpful and accommodating. "Hotel Kompas was the perfect hotel for our 2 night stay in Bled. Check-in was easy, staff are all friendly. Breakfast was good - great selection of food and all tasty. The hotel is in a good location, easy to walk around and experience Bled."

"Very nice hotel in a great location. One thing that did not impress me was that when looking out the window I noticed one of the window frames had large sections of paint that were peeling off. I hope it is not lead paint and that some kid doesn't try to eat it. The breakfast was quite good."

"Great location, right in the center of the old town. Walking distance to everywhere. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was good and with fair amount of varieties. The only downside is the hotel condition which is rather old and needs some tender loving care."

"This hotel is a classic old spa hotel. The grand entrance on the park side is largely closed off, with a new glass atrium entry on the back alley. But it's worth peaking into the old grand foyer and even the music hall on the top floor. The rooms are fine, although our room for three was just a queen bed so our daughter slept in the loveseat. The breakfast and dinner are included in the rate. It is all right, but there are very limited options. The meals seemed geared for large groups...
