Grand Bend Vacations
There is no need to limit your tour to the points of interest in Grand Bend because the whole region is laced with an abundance of great attractions. If you're looking for other places to check out, you'll find Poplar Hill, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northwest, and Adelaide Metcalfe 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the north.
Grab some transportation and spend some time in London, a transport and retail hub for the area, situated some 35 miles (56 kilometers) from Grand Bend. This bigger city offers plenty of points of interest, including Boler Mountain Ski Resort, Centennial Hall and Banting House. Be sure not to return to Grand Bend until you've visited London's Grand Bend Motorplex, Budweiser Gardens and Masonville Place.
If you are looking for indoor activities, head to Southwestern Ontario's excellent history museums and art museums. These are good places to soak up some of the local culture and perhaps find a special souvenir or two.
The wider region offers plenty of activities for active travelers with a love of water. Sea kayaking and boating are both ways to have fun upon the water here. There are times when one of the better ways to get to know a place is by tapping into local knowledge. The region offers some very informative winery tours, cycling tours and culinary tours.
If you plan on arriving and departing by air, take into account that the most convenient major airport is Chris Hadfield Airport, 35 miles (56 kilometers) to the southwest of Grand Bend.
