We enjoyed our two nights at Sundowner. We had a family unit which was spacious. The price was good and it was very very clean. The shower was great. Electric blankets, a good heater and Sky Sport were very appreciated!

Pauline on reception was so welcoming and helpful. The unit was quiet and the cupboards, appliances and cutlery were spotless. The bed was comfy and there were extra blankets if needed. A guest laundry was at the front of the motel. There were no dining options at the motel but it is super convenient to many eateries including the Speights Ale House and Railway line. It was easy to find and access was good. A bit of a squeeze past parked cars outside units to get up the rear driveway but manageable. The outside lighting didn't work at night making it hard to see getting down the walkway to the unit door so used the torch on our phones but on the positive it meant an undisturbed sleep as lights didn't beam into the unit. Towels, t-towels and wash cloths were also spotless. Time property is dated but is clean and warm with additional heating if needed. Very well positioned for access to routes to Hokitika, Ross, Shanty Town, Tree Top walking and other attractions.
