All inclusive is great !

Posted Jan 13, 2014
Pros: They have transportation from the rooms to the Club Playa, right on the beach, pool, bar and buffet
Cons: My only complaint (which is quite minimal), were the quality of the pillows. I may be a little sensitive, but it made my neck sore.
Location: The location is nice and you don't even have to leave the premises, they have activities every day and a different dinner show every night.
All the staff is nice and friendly. Everyone was always ready to assist you and help you with anything you needed. They offered great hospitality!! The rooms were great, there were multiple pools (depending on where your room was), and there was 24 hour car service to and from the lobby. Aside from the buffet, there are different options for meals, which is great!

An unexpected experience.

Posted Aug 22, 2013
Pros: The view from my room
Cons: Change of menu Wifi everywhere Better shampoo A more confortable sofa bed.
Location: Excursions were not as worthy as I thought. And food was expensive whEre We went Ocean is brave and beach too deep. Waves were too strong.
Very surprised with the limited menu at Trattoria. And the difficulty to make reservations. No phone to call from the beach. Food was good but everyday the Menu was the same. Wifi only at lobby and Trattoria

Disappointed with "All Inclusive Package"

Posted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: The location and view of the ocean. The hotel employees were nice
Cons: The food, the bars, add waitresses, change management, We never saw one. Anywhere.
Location: Take a local tour offered by the venders at the beach, It's safe and you will get a non north american experience you will never see in a big tour.
We arrived at 3 pm and our first room was not ready until 5pm. The bathroom had just been repainted and the fumes were still very strong. We called about changing rooms and only after did we give them an ultimatum, did they change us to another room. I could possibly understand, but the hotel was not near full capacity. The all inclusive food and beverage package was very limited. I lost 5 pounds in the days I was there and not because of any "Montezuma's Revenge". There are no waitresses at the pool, beach or lobby bar, only bartenders. So, if you want a drink you have to walk up to the bar and order it. It comes in a 8 or 10 ounce plastic cup. Beer is the drink of choice. Anything such as cokes or any other beverage that comes out of a 2 liter bottle will be flat with no gas. The workers at the hotel were very nice and appologetic because of some of the cheap things the new owners had implemented. The by reservation only restaurant was horrible. This is the first time I stayed at the hotel where the buffet was better than the top shelf restaurant. You have a choice of Pizza, fettuccini or baked chicken legs.

Diluted food, dangerous beach, 24/7 carts, no comp

Posted Jun 16, 2012
Pros: Staff
Cons: Food, beach
Location: Non friendly location, guests MUST use the oversized golf carts 24/7 for every single activity. Sea is dangerous!
The Crown Pacific ( NOT a Crowne Plaza, will be renamed Royal Park) is built in a hill: u must take not one, but 2 oversized golf carts for meals or the beach, located at a spot considered open sea, must be in truly extraordinary physical shape in order to swim at the hotel's beach, must take a taxi to La Entrega beach, where you can relax, swim and snorkel. Not a good idea to sit by the sand at the hotel´s beach, waves can pull you in. Food and drinks are diluted: a Piña Colada tastes like crushed ice and really-really distant, taste of pineapple and rum, same thing for coffee, beer or ceviche. Food is VERY dissapointing. If you want to eat something tasteful, must walk to the nearest hotel or take a taxi and go downtown. The staff at the hotel, on the other hand, is pleaseant in spite of their labor conditions. It is a miracle encountering such extraordinary friendly people, grateful to have a job, even if this job is a lousy one. Nowhere you will find air conditioning for the staff. Be prepared to chase away birds at every single meal, restaurant is under a huge palapa with NO air conditioning.Taxi drivers also friendly. They bless you because they have a job thaks to turism, so they do not have to leave their place of birth. The pool is small, like a personal pool! NO computers at the hotel either, so if you need to check your emails, must walk to the Barcelo hotel. Horrible night shows.

Crown Pacific Resort (for now)

Posted Feb 25, 2012
Pros: Very quite and relaxing
Cons: no English speaking staff and food quanity and quality was terrible
Location: Resort is built on the side of a mountain. This resort is not for someone who doesn't like hiking up a mountian to get to their room
Hotel was just purchaed by another company who immediately cut back on everything. I expected lower quality of food but not as bad as it was. Also very little english speaking staff were present so communications was not good and therefoire we never looked at any excursions from the hotel.

Great Room

Posted Sep 29, 2009 on Hotels.com
The front desk was kind enough to give us the very best suite in the house on the very top of the 10th level. There were only 3 suites on our floor, and it was really huge! The beach is beautiful but not at all good for swimming. Nice pools, food is good enough. Breakfast is never ready at 7:00, and since dinner starts at 7:30, and was only served at the beach we would eat a heavy lunch at 12:30 and a snack at 4:30, and that was it. We were the only non Mexicans staying at the hotel which didn't bother us, but in September, with only one flight a week from the US I guess it is really hard for Americans and Europeans to visit.
