Huatulco in a HuracaniePosted Jun 21, 2012
Pros: Privacy, staff attention, views, food
Cons: TV is old , but we really hardly wanted to turn it on anyway
Location: perfect for relaxing and great views. if you want the hussale and bussle , this is not your hotel ...and Huatulco is not the place for this eihter
We got there the morning after the Huracaine had hit the area. The Staff was already in the process of cleaning all the public areas and geting bar and poll rady , even if there was only us and another couple schedule to arrive that day. they could not refund us for the first night which we di not spend there as the plane could not land and we arrivved the follwoing morning. HOwever they extended our stay by a day,

Great place to soak in the sunPosted Jan 5, 2009 on Hotels.com
The Quinta Real Huatulco is a great hotel/resort, with beautiful architecture, stunning ocean views and very friendly, helpful staff. The food is great, though expensive. The only downside are the 150 steps between the hotel and the beach, but there is a shuttle. It was a memorable vacation experience, and the staff helped make it so.

Would love to go back, very impressed.Posted Dec 3, 2008
As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by the excellent staff with smiles and cocktails. It was a wonderful feeling after so many hours of traveling. The facilities are absolutely beautiful. At this hotel, everyone understands what customer service is all about. Food is a little expensive, but you will not be dissapointed. Try the tlayudas! We hope to go back in the future.

Best in HuatulcoPosted Nov 20, 2008
This place was awesome- well designed, super quiet, very peaceful, beautiful environment with a private beach club and great service. Asolutely no complaints. We looked at other Hotels in the area and by far this one is the best. I hate to say this because I don't want it to get found out and not be available next time I go.

HuatulcoPosted Sep 5, 2008
Hutualco was an amazing experience! We could not have asked for more, Quinta Real was a wonderful place to stay. There were only 17 other guests when we were there, the hotel staff was very willing and helpful, AND we can't wait to go back.

Small and well runPosted Jan 24, 2007
If you like a party atmosphere with lots of people and loud music this is not the place for you. If you like an intimate place with lots of privacy and solitude this IS your place. There's only 4 resorts on this stretch of coastline. The La Quinta Real is separated from the other 3 large resorts by a golf course making it seem like you have your own private beach. We had a Grand Class suite that was huge with a fantastic terrace. Since the hotel is built into a hill the ocean views felt like you were on the tenth floor of a high rise. Our room though not overly luxurious was very well appointed. Bvulgari bath products are a nice touch as well. Nice turndown service with chocolates! The only issue we had with our room was the bath sink drain was slow. One call to the front desk was all it took. Done! Restaurant and Room service we're exellent. We ate all our food there and never had one bad meal. The kitchen staff is well above par for your typical hotel. Yes there are a lot of stairs to get to the beach. I counted 180 from top to bottom. For me it took 3 days before my calves got used to a couple jouneys a day. Personally I didn't mind them. The whole path is very well landscaped and hey you get a little exercise while your lounging around all day. If you really can't take it the staff is always happy to send the shuttle. All in all this little place is a jewel. Peaceful, romantic and beautiful....We'd return in a second

very private beachhousePosted Nov 6, 2006
went right before the busy season. hotel had some guests but we felt as if this was our own private beach house with service. very tranquil. staff very accomodating if you wanted. otherwise they left you alone. room service was very prompt. food was excellent. free internet service in bar/lounge. nice bath ameneties. low thread count of sheets/linens etc would be my only complaint as this was only thing that did not fit in with the otherwise luxurious accomodations. dont let "short shuttle ride to beach club" disway you...pool/beach only a few flights of stairs (although steep) downhill and still attached to main property (shuttle service available). enjoy!
