Don’t rent skis from killington- you pay the premium price and get their trashed stranded boots and trashed skis. Don’t trust their verbal price over the phone for military discount: my price was higher, but the internet site also won’t let you reserve lift tickets at the military price. I was told if I purchase ski rental through killington then storage was free- this proved untrue also so We packed our skis in the car each night. MLK DAY WAS FRIGID- they closed most lifts and refused any sort of compensation - as Debbie said I could have skied down to ramshead Head as that was open. Really? It’s 1/4 mile UPHILL down the street and killington does not electronic lift signs -you never know which lifts are open or closed. Numerous cars on killington rd spun out and stuck - no salt or snow plows in sight. We’ll never go back again.

Quick ride to the mountain.

The biggest and most varied ski terrain in Vermont.  Recent upgrades to several key lifts are really appreciated.

The ski condition is not very good... very icy.

Killington Resort was about 45-1 hour drive from the hotel. We chose the hotel based on the location because we weren't sure if we were going to go to Killington or Sugarbush. We also wanted to see Vermont on our way to the ski slopes. It was just far enough that the kids didn't complain =) We also were able to find a nice little area in New Hampshire (10 minutes away) with a large variety of restaurants.
