Terrain parks, hiking trails, golf, après-ski entertainment and a range of slopes for all levels of skiers welcome visitors to this resort in the Green Mountains.

Killington Resort is a mountain retreat for all seasons and all ages. Discover snow-based sports, nature trails, an alpine roller coaster, a scenic gondola ride and a lively après-ski atmosphere. The resort spreads across seven mountain areas, which collectively form part of New England’s Green Mountains. Whether visiting in summer or winter, enjoy the breathtaking views of tall peaks and alpine meadows.

From November to April the resort attracts skiers to its 1,509 acres (610 hectares) of skiable terrain. The impressive 155 trails are served by 22 modern lifts, which include two high-speed gondolas. Find a range of easy slopes, challenging moguls, double black diamonds, gladed skiing areas and perfectly groomed runs.

For freeskiing and snowboarding, come to the five terrain parks, featuring boxes, jumps and rails. Bear Mountain’s halfpipe has 18-foot-high (5.5-meter) walls.Winter offers lots to do in addition to downhill skiing and boarding. Go cross-country skiing and ice skating. Join a snowmobile or snowshoe tour, ride in a snowcat-drawn sleigh or pedal a fat-tire bike through the snow. Have exhilarating family fun at the tubing park.

After the snow melts, a vast network of 36 mountain biking and 10 hiking trails open for outdoor enjoyment. Play 18 holes at the championship golf course and try a game of disc golf. Traverse the dramatic mountain landscapes via all-terrain vehicles and Segway tours. Enjoy a thrilling ride on a twisting mountain roller coaster.

Take a more relaxing ride in the scenic gondola to the summit of 4,241-foot-tall (1,293-meter) Killington Peak. This activity is available year-round and presents unrivaled views and access to hiking trails. When it’s time for a break, visit the resort’s many drinking and dining options. Choose between easygoing cafés, a sports bar, a steakhouse and fine dining restaurants.

The resort sits at the southern edge of Killington, in the state of Vermont. A low-cost public bus operates between the mountain base area and nearby Rutland.

Check the Killington Resort official website for information on activity prices, lift times, accommodations and special events. You’ll also find details about the resort’s sister ski area, Pico Mountain.

Don’t rent skis from killington- you pay the premium price and get their trashed stranded boots and trashed skis. Don’t trust their verbal price over the phone for military discount: my price was higher, but the internet site also won’t let you reserve lift tickets at the military price. I was told if I purchase ski rental through killington then storage was free- this proved untrue also so We packed our skis in the car each night. MLK DAY WAS FRIGID- they closed most lifts and refused any sort of compensation - as Debbie said I could have skied down to ramshead Head as that was open. Really? It’s 1/4 mile UPHILL down the street and killington does not electronic lift signs -you never know which lifts are open or closed. Numerous cars on killington rd spun out and stuck - no salt or snow plows in sight. We’ll never go back again.

The biggest and most varied ski terrain in Vermont.  Recent upgrades to several key lifts are really appreciated.

Killington Resort was about 45-1 hour drive from the hotel. We chose the hotel based on the location because we weren't sure if we were going to go to Killington or Sugarbush. We also wanted to see Vermont on our way to the ski slopes. It was just far enough that the kids didn't complain =) We also were able to find a nice little area in New Hampshire (10 minutes away) with a large variety of restaurants.
