Spacious condo on the slopes in SquawPosted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: - huge rooms - clean - comfortable beds - great hot tubs and pool - very close to the ski lifts and restaurants
Cons: the front desk staff
We loved our stay at the Squaw Valley Lodge last weekend. We rented a 2 bedroom, 2 full bath condo with a large living room and full kitchen. The whole unit was awesome! Huge rooms, tons of space, comfy beds and couches, well maintained and very clean. The kitchen was great, everything we needed. We also had two decks with partial views of the mountain and the Gondola which was great. We were about 20 yards from the bottom of the Tram - so easy to get up to the best ski runs. Also a few feet away from the village restaurants and bars which makes it so relaxing - you never need to go to your car all weekend. The only negative was the staff. We are not needy hotel guests at all.. but they were rude and not helpful at all when our key cards were deactivated two days in a row. We were standing there in the lobby, in ski boots, waiting for about 5 mins for the one employee to help us. They were not apologetic at all about the issue and our having to walk over there everyday to get it fixed (in a separate building.) They were also not very friendly to other guests I saw checking in or asking for help.

Perfect Location Right on the slopesPosted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: On slopes location & hot tub area
Lovely experience staying at this hotel. Super close to everything, on site parking provided and included in room rate. We goy upgraded to a gorgeous big room with a hot tub. Their outdoor hot tubs and pool area are also great. Not cheap but definitely worth the rate for location and amenities.

Horrible attitudePosted Apr 6, 2014
The reception staff is very rude. I checked in to the hotel first and my friends came after. They asked her where's room 307. Her answer is "And, who are you?" Do I have to say more?!

Larger rooms w/ a kitchen, could be cleaner...Posted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: It was very close to Squaw Village.
Cons: Overall cleanliness of the room and facility.
The room was large and had a kitchen, which was great... however, the room itself left a lot to be desired. The carpet was worn, the couch was old/ dirty, the bed was generally uncomfortable (don't really want to think about the state of the mattress, given the couch), there was no safe, many things (like the entry closet) were marked "owners" access only, and there was lots of external noise. In general, the hotel and room looked somewhat dated, I likely won't be returning.

Near the slopesPosted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: big outdoor hot tubs.Nice bathroom. The hot and cold water is easy to control in the tub/shower (that shouldn't be unusual, but it is)
Location: snowboard and ski. hike in the mountains. Lake Tahoe
Good place to stay if skiing Squaw or even if skiing someplace else. Restaurants are close - a little pricy for what you get but you can walk to them. The room was better than I expected. The bed area could be isolated from the kitchen/living area so one person can stay up late without bothering the other.

Clean hotel right next to the slopes.Posted Mar 10, 2014
It is a nice clean hotel with good in room amenities for suites. You get a small kitchen with utensils, pots, wine glasses, etc. A bit dated, but overall it was a great stay. Closeness to the lifts (beginner and more advanced) provides for a really nice experience.

Cons: See above
Hotel needs upgrading. Toilets must be flushed 3xs to clear...this does NOT save water. Mattresses no longer level. Staff is friendly.

Great hotel at base of mtn.Posted Jan 20, 2014
Pros: Location, close proximity to mtn. Could walk out our door and ride up on gondola and then ski almost to the door at the end of the day.
Cons: Don't put guests directly on top of one another because rooms are not soundproof.
Location: Ski by day and village activities by night
Love this place! This was our second stay here, and the staff, location, and facilities could not be better! Our only slight problem was the people above us were incredibly loud; however, it was early morning as we were getting up ourselves.
