"The state of the hotel is much better than when I visited in the past. I chose to give it another try after my last experience and have learned it is under new management recently and they are working hard to upgrade the building and experience during the stay. In its current state, I would never pay over $100 to stay but I hope to see the expected improvements in the future that would make it as appealing as the higher priced hotels. "This is a beautiful, clean, and very well stocked home with Spectacular Views of Lake James. We loved having the master up on the main level and the remaining bedrooms with an additional living area downstairs for our adult age children and their partners. The kitchen was very large and well stocked. We really enjoyed the pool table on the back porch and the built in Sonos Sound system throughout the entire home. We enjoyed coffees each morning and evening cocktails on the deck overlooking the lake. So peaceful!!! Booking and corresponding with Karen was easy and effortless. I strongly suggest renting the pontoon boat from the homeowner, who is also a pleasure to work with! This allowed us to enjoy the entire lake while trolling around admiring the other lakefront homes and searching for fish. We definitely look forward to future vacation Get-Aways at this beautiful home!!!"
