Pros: The owner was most helpful
Cons: Update the decor. Provide a proper breakfast
Location: On the outskirts - so near but so far - a graffiti ridden area
Having to unlock 4 doors to get to our room - we could only be disappointed at this B & B which is definitely past it's sell by date.

This is in a pedestian traffic only part of the old town which makes its location excellent, but you can not drive to it with your car. If you are using a Garmin it will not get you near the hotel. Best to park and try to find the hotel on foot one you reach the historic center. Also the staff is not on sight and you need to call them to come on a cell phone that works in Italy. The breakfast was nothing.

Terrible service. Great location and terrace

Location: Right in the centre of the old town. Great
Great location, building and terrace.  Room - average. Only natural light from a small window high up in the corner of the room. No shampoo or conditioner. Hole in the sheets.  Breakfast was very basic. Service was appalling. Basically felt like I was an inconvenience. When both I and another guest had difficulty exiting the building on the 2nd contact the manager finally came to help after what sounded like a curse under his breath. When he checked the door and determined someone had locked it in error he then proceeded to blame guests who must think the area as unsafe. When i couldnt get the airconditioner to work I went to see the manager who informed me this doesn't get switched on below certain temperatures as they are ecologists and argued my need. My room was warm as it had limited ventilation (1 small window at ceiling height only). This was not communicated to me as part of the booking process or by the manager on checking in. I finally got it switched on but not without an argument with the manager. While the terrace was great, I didn't use it as the events above made me uncomfortable about running into the manager who lives on the top floor.  At no stage, even on departure, did I get any form of apology.

Very helpful owner. Italian an advantage, as throughout Puglia. Superb location. Parking may be a problem. Breakfast is now taken at a nearby cafe.

Tullio was very friendly and helpful. Gave me all the information I needed when I first arrived, including maps and restaurant recommendations. Excellent location!! Right in the heart of the historic district. Only two (small) complaints... the gas stove would not light by itself and the towel bar in the bathroom was broken. Overall I was VERY pleased with my stay, and the price was very reasonable.

Little gem in the heart of Lecce

The hotel owner is very friendly and makes you feel like at home. Hotel is well located just off from a pedestrain street and a few streets away from the main square. It's easy to reach the hotel by foot from the railway station - 10 minutes max. The hotel has a huge roof terrace, so if you are visiting Lecce in the summer you might be stuck there. The breakfast is served in one of the main square cafes which even on weekends opens 07:30. Good coffee (ask for espressino) and fresh cornettos. The hotel is great for a w/e break, has good atmosphere and is cosy as well.
