A little frayed around the edges; free wifi issuesPosted Jun 16, 2014
Cons: Free Wifi connection process
Location: Restaurants and entertainment just a few minutes away - "downtown" storefront setting with good, free public parking areas.
Room was spacious and comfortable, though it was a little disconcerting when I went to turn on a wall mounted bedside lamp and it kind of fell apart. Wifi presented a hassle that I hadn't had elsewhere. Their log in page wouldn't connect and display on my system -- a global standards compliant Mac OSeX laptop that has worked with similar connection processes countless other times before and since. Clearly an internet compatibility failure on the part of their MafiaSoft / Windisease router arrangement, but they gave me the help number for their tech support and the folks there got me authorized via remote with just a few minutes of inconvenience. Staff was extremely helpful with resolving the issue.

Pros: $66.00 a night
Cons: not a thing!
It was a nice clean place to lay my head down that night.

Hard to find lane to turn up to get to hotel.Posted Jun 1, 2014
Only accessible one way. Lots of people sitting out on chairs with motel doors open. Steps to second floor in need of repair.

Dont believe the hype - it is okay (really!)Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: the staff and the price
Cons: the furniture could be improved -- dated and really worn
This hotel is a Motel 6 - dont expect the Hilton and you wont be disappointed. I was looking for a QUICK overnight stay in a decent hotel and this fit the bill. Was it plush, fancy and teeming with comfort? NO. However it was more than acceptable for a visit. Whoever fussed about the tile floors needs to 'regroup'........would much rather be in a room with an easy to clean floor than standing on a grungy dirt stained carpet!!! The bathroom was reasonably clean but it was somewhat puzzling that the microwave and small fridge were in the bathroom. I didnt use either so it wasnt an issue for me. Hotel very close to Subway, Sweet Frog, gas station and Walmart is minutes away. Only about 5 minutes from downtown Lexington. We were very pleased with location. I am still thinking about the shower ! Water pressure was strong - just the way I like - almost a mini massage. Furniture needs to be replaced - old and somewhat damaged - I didnt use the dressr or any of the drawers so not an issue for me. The desk staff was over the top NICE. Very customer driven and actually very pleasant to talk to !

Tile floors and no hot waterPosted Apr 29, 2014
The staff was very nice and helpful, however the room was not very comfortable. The tile floor throughout the entire room was cold and hard on the feet. They tried to make up for it with an extra soft bed...too soft. There was no hot water and I was told that it was unlikely they would have hot water all weekend. I had to go stay at another hotel. The good news is the next hotel had hot water, carpet, and a normal bed.

Pet friendlyPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Pet friendly, easy access and close to restaurants.
Cons: Clean and deodorize.
The room smelled as though it had not been used or even opened in weeks. Looked OK ,but the bathroom was not very clean. Why would anyone put the fridge and microwave in the bathroom? Worst towels I ever used!

Good ValuePosted Apr 15, 2014
Cons: Like many budget motels, the rug and furniture has seen better days, but they were adequate and the room was inexpensive.
Location: Lexinton, VMI, W&L, Horse Center all w/in minutes.
While Motel 6 is not a high end chain, their rate was about half of what everyone else wanted for a Sat night stay. It was close to downton Lexington, and five min from the running event I was participating in the next morning. The front desk gave be a comlimentary late departure allowing me to shower and change after the race. Great experience over all.

Comfortable, economical choice.Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Location was perfect for my business needs.Price was great
Cons: More channels for the TV. I enjoy HGTV and Food Network and really missed them. I did mention this to the manager.
Location: Real close to Virginia Horse Center. Just a few minutes to a lovely downtown area for shopping and dining. Washington-Lee and VMI are close by.
My stay was pleasant. My room was not fancy but it was clean. The bed was comfortable but they don't tuck in the sheets which is not real pleasant if you are a restless sleeper like I am. Bathroom was clean and had everything I needed. I was very pleased that I had a refrigerator and microwave since I have a restricted diet that requires I prepare some of my own food. My only real objection was the television situation. Very limited channels. Internet connection was very good. Staff was great. Very pleasant and the management made a point in asking about my stay when he saw me in the lobby area after one night of my stay. I will use this hotel again if I am in that area.
