Ottima scelta

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Un hotel piccolo, pulito e comodo per visitare Londra, alle porte di Notting Hill, in una zona graziosa e tranquilla. A due passi da portobello's road, vicino a tre fermate dei bus e alla metro. Colazione soddisfacente, personale molto cortese.

Grazioso albergo a pochi mt dalla metro Bayswater

Posted Jan 20, 2015

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: Bra läge
Cons: Rumstorleken är inte acceptabel
Location: Bra restauranger i närheten
Bullrig korridor.Lyhört i huset.

Take your money elsewhere.

Posted Dec 24, 2014
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything. Never, ever agree to stay in room 2, take your money back and try any of the hotels in the area.
Location: It's actually quite hard to find so be sure to bring a print out of the map. Bayswater is the nearest tube stop, with access to central London.
Room 2: In the basement, no heating, the shower has steps to get to it, no shower curtain and nothing to hold onto to climb down the water soaked steps, and then the sink is in the way. I'm small and I could barely squeeze in. The toilet was set so high on the wall my feet wouldn't touch the ground when I sat on it! That was odd! It was right next to breakfast so the morning noise was terrible. You also can hear every single toilet flush in the hotel. The bed was a single bed (which I knowingly booked) with the worst mattress I have ever had the misfortune to (not)sleep on. It was full of lumps and had a giant ridge in the middle, there was not enough space either side of the ridge to lie without falling out of the bed. Zero sleep was to be had. I begged to move, nothing doing. I did get them to come and try to put the heating on, this resulted in radiator getting lukewarm and made no difference at all. The cups next to the kettle were dirty and I and to scrape bits of grime off them with my nails (ugh!). Breakfast was actually ok - cold cuts, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, toast, yoghurt, tea, coffee, juice. The next morning they offered to move me and I got room 13 - a considerable improvement in heat, mattress, and the shower wasn't out to kill me, but on checkout I was offered zero apology or compensation for not sleeping one wink the first night. Room 2 is not a room, they should never put anyone in there, for free it would cost too much, and this hotel is extremely pricey.

Clean, great location and reasonably priced

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Only stayed one night but found a very clean room. The room was small but we managed ok with it being a short stay. Staff were helpful. Location was ideal with about a 10 min walk to Bayswater tube station. Breakfast selection was good and we got a table no problems but there were people waiting for one when we left as is was quite a small area for the number of rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel on quite street

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Location and staff friendliness
Cons: Room was hot but there were two fans, no AC.
Location: Close to Portobello Road Market. Lots of great restaurants and little shops as well.
We checked out the other comments of this hotel and decided book for 7 days. Hotel is in a nice quite neighbourhood and felt very safe. Walking distance to the tub and bus. Staff were amazingly friendly and provided great suggestions of how to get around and were to go visit. Breakfast buffet was continental and was very nice. We would definitely stay there again.

Recommended but not in a basement room!

Posted Nov 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
Perfect location, good standard of room, pleasant staff. Breakfast was good nothing outstanding but nothing to complain about either. At the end of the day it is a base for your trip. We were in a basement room and london was experiencing an unseasonal warm October night and we had to sleep with window open and were very uncomfortable. They would be unbearable in the summer I'm sure. Taps were on their last legs in wash hand basin but I am getting pernickety now!

London hotel Linden

Posted Nov 5, 2014
Cons: Lose some of the "garage sale" quality decorations in the rooms.
Location: Notting Hill. Lots of restaurants & small shops. Sort of an international neighborhood... greek, Romanian, French.
Good hotel in Notting Hill, about 3 blocks from tube stop. Like a lot of smaller London hotels, old building, refurbished, and very adequate, but not luxury. Our room was clean, bathroom modern. It is always a little "quirky" though with no shelf space, no air conditioning (OK in November), and cheaper furniture and decorations. But, hey, we were only there for 5 nights. Good breakfast included. Staff very attentive. I'd go back for the price.
