"No frills house with a nice view of the ocean across a busy freeway. The tv upstairs did not have cable and was not compatible with streaming apps. So there was no way to watch tv upstairs. The dishwasher was not working and had black mold in it. I ran a load and then had to wash them again by hand. The kitchen is not stocked well. "Discovered Carpinteria quite by accident while road-tripping. It has much of the charm of Santa Barbara at half the price. From brewery to dinner to breakfast we found great food and a lively atmosphere. The hotel was attractive, the staff friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking and is walkable to downtown. Most rooms have a balcony. Ours was over a lovely courtyard. The beds were quite comfortable. I would stay here again when visiting the area."

You may want to bring your own cleaners/wipes to clean the room thoroughly, my dog dribbled some water on the the floor and when I wiped it up I found the cloth to be dirty, room/floor had not been mopped.
