"Almost everything was excellent......except for the fact that it was advertised as providing free parking, and it didn’t. I had to pay for overnight parking in a public garage.....which cost almost $30 for the night. Also, Livingston’s is really a B and B, not a hotel, and, as such, was difficult to find because, even though it’s on the Main Street in Matera, there was only a small sign attached to the building to identify it. "We had a lovely stay, Marta provided us with excellent information. We were lucky to have an upgrade and was given the studio room. It was spacious with authentic cave room experience. The closest and cheapest pay parking is approx. 11 mins. walk. I strongly encourage travelling light as you will be dragging your suitcases in uneven surfaces. "The location was good. Shower is extremely SMALL. There is a shared kitchen , however it's the family's kitchen which makes it VERY uncomfortable to use. The right up is very misleading and makes it sound like the kitchen is to be shared with other guests. A seperate fridge and kettle would help. Parking is limited, however we managed to be able to park out front."

"Hotel has an amazing location. Breakfast is exquisite and rooms are very comfortable. Location of the hotel is PERFECT and it has an amazing view. Please have in mind that front desk of the hotel closes (we were not told and we were surprised when no one was in the front desk starting 8pm). You have to coordinate the transportation to the parking lot the day before so dont forget! "
