comfortable and quiet hideaway

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Loved that there was a kitchenette option room available with all the supplies needed to enjoy a meal. Of course you bring your own groceries.
Location: It is very close to the airport, beaches and great eating spots like Pelican Grill and local Island Grill airport location.
I finally decided to try Relax Resort and I was not disappointed. The resort is nestled in beautiful tropical gardens with awesome views of the airport and Caribbean sea in the distance. I enjoyed the huge pool that was deep enough to make swimming enjoyable.

The staff are the people that makes this hotel

Posted Aug 4, 2014
The some off the staff are the ones that make the stay enjoyable. The room that they have for disabled people isn't ideal, Delores the house keeper is a lovely helpful lady, also the young people in the bar outside are all very helpful. The handyman man called dove was also helpful. The food in the restaurant is very expensive,

Relax Resort advertises free airport shuttle but..

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed, old property but they are trying to make it as nice as possible.
I had to jump through hoops to get them to confirm my arrival. Two conference calls through Expedia and 3 emails before they responded. I gave my flight arrival information and got an email with directions to p/u the shuttle. I called the hotel at 8:30 pm from the airport and they said their shuttle has stopped running for the day. I told the gal that I have confirmation from the hotel, they received my flight information, then she sent a shuttle. During the shuttle ride I was asked when I needed a ride back the next day and I said 11 am. When I came down the next morning the gal said they only have shuttles at 10 am and 12 N. I had a group to meet at 12N. I was able to share a taxi with a fellow, paid the hotel $15 and found out from the driver the taxi was really part of the hotel! The free shuttle is a scam to get you to book and then they do everything possible to get an additional $15 each way from you. Must note the driver was wonderful; she actually gave me back my portion of the shuttle cost.

Hotel From Hell

Posted Jul 19, 2014
dead bug on bedsheets as we check in.....the shower is a drip.....it took waiter 20 minutes to tell us we couldn't have breakfast because they had run out of food, the manager was very rude and not accommodating at all....he was angry that we got the big room for one night as supposed to 2 amd told the receptionist to block all expedia bookings for the night. Location os good for airport, but b otherwise it was the worst hotel ive stayed in!

Great location, peaceful with fabulous gardens.

Pros: The grounds were beautiful with plants, fruit trees and birds, it was a stones throw from the airport and there are lots of beaches nearby.
Cons: The bar area could be more entertaining to encourage the guest to use it, good music, cocktail hour etc!!!
Location: There are inland tours, the beautiful beaches and shopping if you so desire.
The owners, and staff were absolutely fantastic, they did everything to make ones stay enjoyable, wish I'd spent more of my time there but would definitely go back.

This spot is very relaxing. You are 5 mins away from all the hot spots. You do not have to deal with the local due to their on site security guards. It is very quiet and relaxing. Even if you want a romantic dinner it only 2 to 5 people instead of 20 to 30. The staff is polite and very cell manner. Average cost of taxi is 3-8 dollars from the location. 2 bedroom apartment, handy to MBJ Airport

Posted Apr 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
The first time we stayed, before Easter 2014, the owner was having the facility painted and repaired following a prior subletting. Our room was not ready upon arrival, and we had to make ourselves busy at a local shopping centre. Upon returning our room was ready, and we found it to be spacious, comfortable, with a kitchen - which was handy for our home-cooked meals, as we were a family travelling on a budget, with young children who we did not want to be out with after dark. The children enjoyed a swim in the pool. The airport is very handy and this was good as we had landed in Montego Bay, rented a car and the short drive meant we did not have to negotiate much traffic before settling in and orienting ourselves to Jamaica and it's attractions. Don the owner was courteous and the chef was accommodating, preparing us special Jamaican meals not on the menu. Upon returning following Easter, we found that the restoration of the facility had been completed and things were in good order, newly painted and ready for business under the owner of the property. For us, this place offers a good space for a family with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, cable-tv, a pool, on site restaurant, balconies with views of the sea, and the airport, which I enjoyed watching the planes take off and land, all handy to the attractions of MoBay and the North Coast. Staff cleaned the room every day.

A pleasant home away from home

Pros: The location, staff are wonderful. Even the managemtn make you feel at home. They are very accomodating to your needs when requests are made.
Cons: The rooms needed a little updating regards to furniture and equiptment but all in all the stay was amazing.
Location: It is a stones throw from the airport and the view from the balcony is amazing, the hotel is situated in the middle of Ocho Rios and Negril.
The rooms needed a little updating regards to furniture and equiptment but all in all the stay was amazing. I enjoyed my visit to Montego Bay for my first ever visit to jamaica and I plan to come back next year and if the hotel is still running I plan to stay there.
