“Really nice place”
Loved the location, loved the staff and had the best time...
“Too Tiny”
This is a nice boutique hotel, with a pleasant lobby area and an attentive staff. But our room, though nicely designed, was extremely small. Even that might have been tolerable for the price, but the room looked out on air conditioning and other machinery--and the compressor in the room’s refrigerator went on and off in the night. I’m up in Portland on business about once a month; and there are much better hotel alternatives in Portland, at comparable rates, so I’ll be avoiding the Lucia in future.
“Location location location”
This hotel was in a perfect location in the Pearl district. It was easy walking to many of the donwtown sites and the MAX. The staff was incredible. Very friendly and helpful. The only (minor) concern was a slow draining shower.
“I'm a repeat visitor. I'd love to stay there again, too.”
For some reason their restaurant has closed ... not a deal-breaker with all the great places to eat in the neighborhood, but ???
“Funky and chic at a great price”
Lucia has a great funky yet cozy atmosphere. Great service, awesome staff, adorable room right in the middle of everything. I highly recommend!
“Great Portland Hotel - would go back for sure”
Staff was friendly, room was attractive, liked the fancy bathroom and the comfy robes. Bed was very comfortable and there was a nice choice of pillows. Premium King Room was still a little small, so hard to imagine what a regular room must be like. Loved the historic photographs of famous people on the walls of the hallways and elevators. I also enjoyed the small fitness room in the basement. Note that Typhoon is no longer in the hotel - there is a small restaurant/bar for now but the staff said they'll be bringing in a different restaurant soon. Location is good - close to the Pearl District with a refreshing 5-10 minute walk to all the places we wanted to go.
“Quaint Euporean style hotel.”
Nicely appointed rooms with a splash of European flavor. Great location with walking distance of anything you needed.
“When I come back to Portland I'm staying here!”
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everyone made us feel wanted and special. From dinner reservations to getting around the city and a fantastic breakfast spot. We'll be back.
“Great Location - Would Definitely Stay Again”
Hotel Lucia is a great place to stay. It is very convenient to things to do downtown. Doorman are very friendly and prompt. Hotel was very clean and cleaning staff was very friendly and prompt. A great city hotel. The bed was soooo very comfortable A few minor things - the rooms are pretty small, just FYI, but typical of a boutique hotel. Our "courtyard" view was of the mechanical equipment serving the 4 buildings around it. Front desk, please don't call it a courtyard. It just makes the guest disappointed. No white noise fan in the bathroom can be difficult for the modest. They advertise Aveda products but use a product called Mava, which is nice and comparable...except really hard to get out of the bottles. Also the shampoo is spray in - works great for people with just a little hair, but if you have any more than a "boys cut," then I would bring your own.
“comfortable and convenient”
The room we stayed in was not large but was very comfortable and clean. All amenities were available including a fridge for storing items and free wi-fi. Interesting decor in lobby and hallways. This was our second time at this hotel and would return if we were in the portland area.
