Lovely house/setting—bad cleanliness/communication issues
We are a group of family/friends gathering together from across the country. We have stayed in lots of rentals. We would not stay here again. The house itself and the location are lovely. There are issues with communication, maintenance, and hospitality. When we arrived the red casita (a studio) had no window shades, and the water in there smelled disgusting and came out of the faucet totally cloudy. We notified the mgr who sent maintenance but it was my brother in law who ended up putting up the blinds. It took until later the next day for someone to look at the water, so the people staying in the casita had to shower elsewhere (we purposefully chose this place so each couple could have their own bathroom). Someone came and changed a filter on our second day, but they never felt comfortable drinking the water. On our third day, we ran out of toilet paper and when we alerted the host they said we were allocated two rolls per bathroom for our 3 night stay. Mind you, the rolls started out as partial rolls in all of the bathrooms. When you start the second roll in one bathroom, you can’t exactly share it between other bathrooms. They ghosted me when I asked if they would supply more TP. We paid nearly $5000 but had to go buy our own toilet paper! After our stay, I contacted them to ask for help returning a shirt someone left, and also to express concern about the condition of the casita. They ignored my message! I got the automatic message asking for my review, however.
