Rundown, staff not knowledgeable, hated it

I had a horrible room the first night. It was dirty and smelled like cigarettes, sheets smelled and it wasn't the ocean view I paid for. The food wasn't tasty and it was the same everyday. Lights went off at least 4 times a day. Beach was very dirty and so was the pool. The burgers sat in liquid for an hour at the snack bar.

Nice hotel bad rooms

Hotel was nice but the room was dusty dirty and it smell like humidity. I had asma n the other 2 rooms they offer me were the same. I couldn't sleep or rest in my room. Good\excellent entertainments.

Cons: Power outages
Extremely friendly staff! Delicious buffet food! Restaurants where we had to make reservations left much to be desired in the way of service. Beautiful facility! Excellent spa! Lots of activities for the whole family. World class entertainment in the evenings at resort. Boca Chica is tourist friendly with local flair. Safe and authentic experience with locals - all very warm and welcoming. :)

don't get lockout will take two hours to open the door. the food is ok. this has been the worst experience I have ever had in a resort. they have bedbugs. the employed act like dont care about you.

Hotel Nightmare

This hotel and the service should be considered a crime. The service can be rated the worst my family and I have ever experienced. We experienced from commode sewage leak to a broken room door. The staff appears to be paid not to help. Please stay away.

Ocean Front room

Pros: Location, very kid friendly ocean.
Cons: everything could be improved, food, drink options, room, staff...
Location: had 2 great boat trips, but would have been easier if we stayed at La Ramona.
Not bad, we felt there was room for improvement in everything here, but all in all we had a nice vacation...

Cons: Everything, service, furniture, staff, paint, food selection,
Location: Boca Chica beach, Neptune restaurant and lots of local vibes. Several clubs.
had to pay extra for wifi and for the safe. One or the other but not both. Had to literally beg for them to restock the coffee and fridge. Floors were dirty, noisy, food was nasty and not much of a selection, on beach entertainment with staff was so blah. Beach was clean, give them that much. However, they had people ambushing you to buy souvenirs. The place looks dated, Furniture looks old and often times dirty. Bath tube and walls were so yucky, toilet kept running, bathroom sink clogged, fridge (glad they didnt stock it because it didnt work). Overall I wouldnt recommend it.

One of the worst ever!

Pros: Nothing...absolutely no redeeming qualities here.

Location: I worked on my AC unit and toilet for hours so did not have much time to see the area.
Came to SDQ on business and wanted something a little closer to the airport. At check in they could not find the expedia reservation and made no attempt to find it even though I had the expedia print out. I had to call and hold with expedia for 45 minutes on my own cell phone. The hotel then put Expedia on hold for 20 minutes! Finally had to use my own credit card to pay and settle it with Expedia later in order to check in. This place has not been updated in many years. Old and wore out is all I can say. I paid for the upgraded "Superior Room" and got a room with broken AC and a clogged toilet. I just got back from Congo and this place made my hotel in Congo look like the Taj Mahal in comparison. I would not board my dog in this place.
