Right on the Highway

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Convenience, location and accommodations.
Cons: There could be a continental breakfast available.
Location: We were just passing through so the area was inconsequential. I loved the fact that it was on the highway and we didn't need to look for it.
There were 4 of us travelling together and two of us needed separate beds and the other two slept together. We were able to get a room where we could all be in the same room. We were travelling with two 90 year old sisters and needed to be able to keep an eye on them.

Elevator did not work

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Elevator did not work. We were not told this fact until after we were given our room. One of the higher priced rooms during our weeks' stay in Canada. Best of the limited offerings in the town.

Nice hotel, right off the highway.

Cons: Better customer service at the front desk!
All was good except for the front counter staff. I found them to be very rude and snippy. When we arrived the pool was closed. I politely asked, "what time does your pool close?" Answer, "It's closed." It took me 3 tries to get the pool times from the lady. When we were checking out, there were 3 groups ahead of me, but only 1 out of 2 front desk staff were assisting. I had booked through Expedia and from my print-out, was unsure if this had been pre-paid or not (another Hotel I had booked on the trip was pre-paid). I again found the lady (different staff member than the night before) to be quite rude when answering my questions. She overcharged me on the rate which I didn't catch until after I left (I don't feel like arguing over the phone to correct this) and also tried to charge me for breakfast even though I had purchased the rate that included breakfast (that one fortunately I did catch).

Woodsy atmosphere

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Hotel looked like a lodge- very fitting for the area. Clean, big rooms, quiet.
Cons: Restaurant was ok- looked a bit tired and old. Nice big window to see out of, but it looked right into the weeds in the parking lot. Price for one n
Location: Arrived in the evening and did not have time for any sightseeing.
Stayed one night on the way home to Edmonton from Kamloops.

Very nice, quiet, out of the way hotel.

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, quietness, amenities.
Cons: Of course, the price could always be lower
Unexpectedly nice hotel for this area. Our suite was much nicer than other best western we have stayed in and the attached restaurant had very good food at decent prices. The staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any traveler.

Fantastic value for money

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: Value for money, great customer relations from all staff.
Cons: We had a slight problem with the WIFI perhaps the server needs updating
Location: The Valemount Info Centre was excellent, one of the best I have seen in Canada. They can tell you everything to do.
Right from the first moment we walked into reception the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. The room was excellent and the Pool/Hot Tub exceeded expectations. All of the hotel looked a lot newer than what it is. Keep up the good work guys,

Good Location

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: Location. Halfway point for our travel. Friendly front end staff.
Cons: Common areas nice. Room furnishings need updating.
Front staff friendly. Room showed signs of aging, furnishings could be better, and bathroom needs updating. TV operation was strange. Restaurant very, very understaffed. Waited over an hour for our food. What ever happened to the complimentary glass of wine?

Great place to stay!

Posted Jun 7, 2014
Pros: Waterslide.
Cons: Continental breakfast would be nice considering the price.
Location: Bird sanctuary next to property.
Long drive from White Rock BC to arrive at a hotel with amazing grounds was a pleasure. The pool was not the typical cold pool but at a nice temperature and the kids had a great time on the waterslide.
