This property was quit descent for the purposed I booked it but i wouldn't say that it an ideal vacation spot.

The rooms were very very clean and really nice! Very quiet and the front desk guy was very nice and accommodating definitely recommend this place to any one looking to stay in Vernon Texas! Thank you budget host inn

The bathroom had dead deer flies smashed against the walls, the floor was filthy and had urine on the base of the toilet. The floors in the room were dirty and the desk had dried food on it. I also have a Military Service K9 that I provided ID on and I was charged 40.00 for him! I won’t be back there …

Nice place for the price!
Everything was great. If you like a hard firm bed this is the place for you but if you have back projects you will want to find a different place to sleep. The checkin and people were amazing. The rooms were just renovated and we're nice and clean.

Just ok
Ok for the price. We only picked this hotel due to literally only needing to sleep over night (checked in at 9pm and left at 8am). Man that checked us in thru walk-up window, didn't even say hello, but wasn't outwardly rude. It was comfortable, but AC was loud. There were 2 dead crickets under the desk (I know crickets get in wherever they want, but still). Still decent for what we needed.

Absolute dingiest, dirtiest, most bug infested hotel I’ve been in. Had to repair the handle for the less hot water myself. The fridge and icebox kept my frozens lukewarm and my refrigerables room temp. There wasnt even a TP roll holder. The mildew smell from the AC is overwhelming. Pretty sure the staff moved my stuff around.

Nice and cool when I went in. Air conditioning already on. Clean and never heard noises outside or from the other rooms. I stay 3 different times and each time I stayed 3 days. They also accepted my Emotional Support Animal ( Pug ) with no questions.

The shower was moldy and the floor inside sunk down 3 inches from the wall. We could not get in our room without wading through hundreds of crickets. We were moving across country and they had an issue with our ESA dogs. The key card did not work properly. It took several swipes across it to open the door while we fended off hundreds of crickets. The front desk lady recommened restaurants that werent even open. The whole city is a dive. Avoid Vernon Tx as much as possible.

This hotel is a good value for the cost. No frills but if you just need a place to sleep and shower, this is a good option. I had some issues with my keys-they quit working and it took a few tries to get updated keys that would work, but the employee was friendly and helpful re: this issue. The area around the property is no fault of the hotel; no one going to the city of Vernon should expect much.

You can definitely tell they are trying to remodel. The bed area looked great and I loved the floors, however the bathroom could use some serious work, but you also get what you pay for. I wasn’t expecting the Hilton. It met my needs for the night and that’s all I ask. Can’t wait to see it after they are done completing the remodel.

This is a good value for the price. It's small and the property has no amenities such as breakfast or a pool. No coffeemakers. But again, for the price, it's a great value and the rooms have fridge & microwave. It was quiet and clean and the staff was friendly. The location is not really "near" anything although the town is small and it doesn't take more than a few minutes to drive to a restaurant or a gas station.
