25 miles (40 kilometers) to the south of Seneca Lake, is Watkins Glen, a great place to visit while exploring the region. This popular destination is 15 miles (24 kilometers) from Elmira - Corning Regional Airport.

Watkins Glen is a great place to base yourself while you are in Seneca Lake as many of the city’s main attractions are close. Two sights that should be on every visitor’s itinerary is the wonderful Hazlitt Winery and the iconic Hillendale Golf Course.
