“Rustic, spacious, good outdoor areas, peaceful private lake, well equipped. Nearby neighbors but not intrusive. Had weather cooperated better it would have been an ideal setting for our retreat.”

“It was indeed a nice place to stay. During our stay, it was rainy and cool, which we really loved (much better than scorching hot). As a down side, we could not use the grill due to the rain. The cabin is really where you can cool off and get away. The pictures are accurate. The host was also very responsive, so we never felt left on our own. I wish the dogs (likely the host's dogs) would let our cat enjoy the deck a little more though. The poor guy didn't get a chance to relax! All in all,...

“This stay was odd because 4 of 6 had to cancel so my wife and I had this amazing place to ourselves. It was cool when we arrived but the furnace warmed the place up pretty quick. My only comment was that there was no remote for the gas fireplace which would have been nice. The hot tub was primed and ready but (long story) due to illness we did not use it. The primary suite bed was great and the on suite really nice. We would come back for a fall getaway sometime.”

“We stayed for a week and had friends and family members coming in and out as we prepared for our son’s wedding. It was a very wonderful time and the house was perfect for our large group. It was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. The amenities were nice, especially the large garage/game room, and the trampoline was fun as well. We would definitely stay again. Communication with the host was top-notch and we felt very welcomed!”

“The coat rack inside the front t door needs to be a bit beefier, and better lighting down the stairs to the hot tub - maybe some kind of light/lantern at the hot tub as well - we had to use our cell phone lights”

“The apartment was amazing! The outdoor patio near the club house was messy and i was nervous to use the hot tub. I was disappointed because i really wanted a use the outdoors space. But otherwise it was great! ”

“This house was perfect for our family to hang out and hit Main Street in St. Charles. The house itself has an updated kitchen and bathrooms and has enough space for a big family chill and watch movies or play video games. It is within walking distance of all the attractions on Main Street and if you are up to it, the Ameristar casino.”
