Authentic Log cabin with something for everyone!

An authentic log cabin on 7 acres with a small lake in the front yard. Sleeps 10 in beds (10 maximum capacity). More wildlife than imaginable. Every time of day brings out different animals and birds. Built for family gatherings and fun. Enjoy swimming in the lake. Enjoy feeding the fish (we do not allow fishing) as all fish have been hand raised and are pet like. We do provide fish food for your enjoyment (and theirs:). Enjoy local historical places, numerous wineries and breweries all within 10 miles. Ride the Katy Trail, and do some local shopping. Be sure to visit historical downtown Washington, which is one of the top ten historical districts in the US. Daniel Boone home and monument are close and worth visiting. Busch's wildlife conservation area has over 50 stocked lakes for fishing and other outdoor fun. All of these attractions are within 10 minutes of the cabin.

Pets are welcome, however, excessive pet hair, pet excrement and/or pet damage could/will result in forfeiture of deposit.
Each additional guest over (4) is $15 per person per night. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests. Special circumstances considered with prior approval.

Cabin by the lake

Loved the location. We needed a weekend away to hangout with friends and relax. We enjoyed our stay. Some items are a little dated. We only cooked Breakfast at the cabin so the kitchen was ok. Loved the lake. Thanks

Rustic Get Away

This property takes you back to a time when life was simpler. Being able to feed the catfish and seeing the wildlife was so relaxing. There is plenty of room to gather, and the place accommodated our 8 adults wonderfully. Rustic and relaxing!

Loved it!

Had a great time, the place was so fun. Had an issue getting in on time because of the cleaners. Considering they were there 40 minutes on top of the 5 hours they are allotted to clean between guests, I do wish the place was more clean. Other than that it was a beautiful location secluded and about an hour out from St. Louis. Would recommend and would stay again!

great cabin,very quiet and roomy.info book had great information for the area.enjoyed fishing at busch conservation area,food at local restuarants,and fun at the arch in st louis.it was always good to get back to cabin to unwind and relax.cabin fully equiped to take care of all our needs

Girls Trip

We enjoyed the cabin for our girls get away. The feeding of the fish was a hit and we got to see baby geese be born! The turtles are awesome too! Overall the place met our needs. Did not expect all the taxidermy animals. We really enjoyed the local area. They had lots of fun events we found. The walking trails were nice! Thank you for opening your place for us to spend our time together.

Perfect log cabin on the pond

Great stay in a beautiful log cabin. Two wonderful porches to relax, eat and enjoy the view. Very spacious and clean. Our furry friends felt right at home too. The country setting is perfect for privacy and relaxation. Would stay again

Wonderful Hideaway!

This was an amazing property; this was a work visit but it was so nice to get away from work while still working :D. This is a place I would return to relax and get away from it all.

Nice cabin

The cabin was all it was described to be, very close to where we live and yet we felt like we were really away from the hustle and bustle of life. Plenty of room for our planned group. The winter weather kept us indoors for the weekend, but we could see the potential for fun outdoor activities. One suggestion is to provide steak knives in the kitchen. Thanks for a nice weekend.

Cozy home in a nice quiet setting. Beds very comfortable. I wish the outside seating was more comfortable. We spent time on the back porch because the weather was beautiful with a great view of the lake Would stay here again !

Great Place to Stay!

Cabin was very cozy and clean. Great communication with the property manager. My travel partner and I were there for an event nearby, and didn't take full advantage of the property had to offer. Could definitely see staying there with the family and having a great time. It was quiet and peaceful, and the catfish were cool.

2nd Year in a Row! Outstanding Property!

Clean, in fact very clean. Well stocked with kitchenware, bath towels and pretty much anything else you need. The property owners are welcoming and available, if you should need them. This is our second year at the property for a group of 6 friends who used to camp outdoors in the winter. This place is warm and comfortable with nice views of the woods and lake.

Fantastic Getaway

This was a great getaway cabin retreat. Lots of space and beautiful views. We spent a lot of time relaxing at the cabin. The house could use a thorough deep clean inside and outside but we loved our stay and would definitely stay again.
