Hidden gem of a placePosted Aug 23, 2013
Located next to a winery, the outside of the hotel is deceivingly unprepossessing; yet once you step in you're in a different world. The food is superb and accommodations excellent. The only quibbles I had were the overhead air conditioning vents which provided a little too much air flow for comfort at night and the very high tub. If you're not athletic and limber you will have some difficulty climbing into and out of the shower. The wireless internet connection is good but unsecured. In all other respects this is an excellent place, well worth the price paid.

A nice place, but won't be going back.Posted Jul 12, 2013
Cons: The mattress was very uncomfortable. In addition there are no room darkening curtains, so sleeping in is difficult.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary in the Williamsburg area. I read several Yelp reviews and after reading all the rave reviews decided on staying at Wedmore Place. While it was a cut above your average hotel, the room, which was an upgrade was a bit small. The shower was very tiny and awkwardly placed making it difficult to open the shower door all the way.

It keeps getting better!Posted Oct 29, 2012
Pros: Helpful staff; very, very comfortable bed; Cafe Provencal is excellent.
Cons: The bathrooms are too small for us Americans.
Location: Great location being situated next to the Williamsburg Winery. Will need to drive to enjoy other Williamsburg sites.
Wedmore Place is becoming a viable alternative to the Williamsburg Inn for high end accommodations in Williamsburg.
