"Beautiful , Unique , Peaceful , Country farm experience ! The quarters were clean and nicely decorated . It is actually the private downstairs of their large , beautiful home .We loved the fireplace in the evenings . The very nice owners were a pleasure to meet and very responsive and accommodating . We have new friends now ! They offered us a tour of the farm with horse stable and 9 horses at the time , goats that they milked , chickens that they harvested eggs from , cats , dogs and puppies...

"This property was ideal for what we needed. Our son graduated VCOM with multiple ceremonies and we need a place we could all convene and celebrate. Proximity to downtown Spartanburg was ideal, and the space lent privacy to a small family gathering after the ceremonies. I had the party catered, but was able to host an intimate family style dinner celebration. The hot water was plentiful for showers and such. Beds were comfortable and inviting. "First it’s a really nice place. Grass needing cutting when we arrived on Monday.Next day informed owner we we’re having a graduation cook out on Thursday anyway it could get completed by then (said on his list. He’s there everyday to feed a few animals.)A crew shows up at 8 am SATURDAY morning. Cute farmhouse needs a repair around sink in kitchen ( hoped to add pictures) Cleanliness was good with exception of few things,out-of-date pantry items, dirty ice bin,mice droppings kitchen...

"This property clearly has somebody who lives there when it's not rented out and minimal preparations are done to accommodate the guests as far as the resident putting their stuff away. The house is in need of repair and has several items that are not operational or broken. The whole house smells dank like mildew or mold. One of the windows is broken and has plastic with tape over it. There was at least four boxes of partially consumed breakfast cereal on top of the fridge and two partially eaten...

"It was very clean and nice! Great communication with host! Plenty of room (we had a baby and toddler) we had a truck and a car and only the truck or only the car would fit in drive, not both. But it was not a problem for us. Would def stay here again."

"We had a very quiet, peaceful two nights at River Retreat. Thoroughly labeled kitchen (and beyond) was well stocked for morning coffees on the beautiful deck overlooking the backyard and river. The beds were comfortable (a rarity) and the space was perfect for four adults. We enjoyed the gentle freeze and sound of the river, so close to town yet private and quiet. Dellene was easy to communicate with and very responsive to our needs."
