The hotel and room was nice. We waiting for a bit upon arrival for valet which is understandable as they get busy so no big deal. Hotel was accommodating of an early check in as well. Pool deck was also really nice. Bed was uncomfortable, we left our breakfast selections on the door to be picked (well before the 2am cutoff) up for a 7:30 AM delivery. The cards were never picked up the night before and was still on the door at 7:30 AM when we checked. We then went down to the hotel lobby for coffee which was out. There was no one else around except for two ladies working the front desk talking and seemed bothered to have to refill it so we just left and went to Starbucks instead. We dined at Villa Azur and the food was pretty disappointing for the price. Everything was super salty and tasted premade and came out way too quickly to be made fresh. The lava tiramisu was definitely not made as I actually bit into a piece of the plastic wrapper. I booked this hotel back in April for me and my wife to have a nice weekend away and overall the stay was blah. I have no desire to ever stay here again. I thought the W was a well known high end hotel and honestly have had much better stays in hotels a 1/4 of the price of this one. I also noticed a pending charge on my card from the hotel for the room even after I had already paid for it through Expedia. The Hotel is telling me it can take a week or more to be refunded due to their mistake. To much mismanagement going on here. Do better
