“1860's genre house with absolutely excellent location to Gettysburg shopping and tourist districts. Had breakfasts meals for 3 days and each meal was different, and very good. I highly recommend, and we will stay here on our next Gettysburg adventure”

“We booked a weekend stay at this bed and breakfast and were extremely happy. The service and breakfast made the whole stay, truly amazing. French toast, potatoes and eggs scramble, fruit, coffee, fresh juice, etc. We have already rebooked a stay for a couple months from now! ”

“ The first night the room was too hot because we did not not think about turning the heater off. I found the bed to be uncomfortable and had trouble sleeping. The hospitality was wonderful and breakfast was great. We learned a lot of Civil war history. We were surprised to find that the other couple staying there was from our hometown also.”

“The property is very small (maximum of 6 guests), and is essentially a renovated old farmhouse. That’s what makes it so quaint and unique, plus it’s very quiet. The host is extremely friendly, and since it’s a B&B we had a really nice breakfast cooked for us in the morning. The only downside (thankfully we didn’t run into this issue) is that the two “standard” rooms share a bathroom. I feel like this should be stated VERY clearly and up front in the listing. I certainly don’t want to pay $100 ...

“LOVELY place, lovely people”

“The term "hotel" is a little misleading as it is more like an inn where there is no hotel staff onsite. An innkeeper greeted us to check us in and give us a tour of the property. The room was very clean and comfortable. We also visited the onsite restaurant, which was lovely. The food was excellent! Unfortunately, there were no real options for breakfast in town and no shopping or entertainment. If you stay here, be prepared for a quiet night in.”

“We stayed at the James Buchanan Hotel during a trip to whitetail for skiing and the hotel was my favorite part of the experience. It was cozy, clean, and they even upgraded our room. It was so much fun to go to the pub in the hotel. The manager of the pub was so attentive and polite and everyone made sure we had a great stay. I can’t say enough nice good things about this place and I hope we will go back someday soon!”

“We had a fabulous stay at the Stuart Manor. Gorgeous property, delicious breakfast and kind hosts. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms modernly updated. Great location not a far drive from what we were in town for, the Apple Festival. Would definitely recommend !”

“The area was beautiful and very quite! We loved the cabin we stayed in. While we did run into some minor issues, staff was VERY accommodating and attentive. We hope to come back and would love to stay on the grounds again. They love dogs and that made us feel more comfortable. The pool was awesome, as was the arcade room for our younger members of the group! ”

“Went to check out Gettysburg, PA and had a great time. The Stratton House location cannot be beat. Our group was able to walk to everything in the historic district, which made it nice to not have to find parking and get in a few extra steps. The house is perfect, beds were very comfortable and had everything we needed to cook a few meals of our own. If you are staying in Gettysburg and looking for a place to stay, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Stratton House!!!”
