“Went to some of the civil war sights and sight seeing hiked a few trails cabin is right near anything you could want for restaurants and shops but is far enough way from towns so it is very quiet at night spent every evening on the back porch enjoying the peace love the history of the cabin as well”

House was fantastic, clean with great indoor and outdoor spaces. Outdoor views were as spectacular as advertised. “This location is perfect as a base camp for exploring the area. The host was really nice and has outfitted the old cabin and its newer addition with everything you'll need. The host lives next door but is not visible from the cabin, so it feels woodsy! A big plus is that leashed dog(s) are welcome with permission from the host. Mountain roads, woods, starry sky, hidden driveway, tight parking area, table and chairs outside all lend a quaint and peaceful Blue Ridge atmosphere. We loved it!”

“Stayed in Mountain Mama’s cabin for three nights with my brother to share some precious time. Our cabin far exceeded expectations…clean, well decorated, river views watching bald eagles fly by ….all excellent. Mountain Mama’s had excellent communication and accessibility..even their own app. All their houses look amazing. Will return again.”

“The tiny house is exactly as described. Its small, clean, cozy and comfortable. The location right on the river is fantastic. Being able to have a fire right by the water each night was such a plus. In better weather would be a great put in for canoeing, kataking. Very close many historic sights, unique shops, and outdoor activities. The hosts are very thoughtful, kind and responsive. We will be staying again!!”

“Very clean property. We enjoyed the elevated deck and timed our trip for some great bird watching. Amazing westward views. Even got to see a thunderstorm roll in. Saw deer and fox in the backyard doing their thing. We had no trouble but the driveway is steep.”

The six of us co-habited for a few days and there was plenty of room to move around comfortably without being on top of each other. “We enjoyed our stay. The cabin is in great shape, very comfortable, so tastefully decorated, and I in particular loved the lighting in all the rooms. Lots of attention to detail, including doggy water bowls. We had no issues at all with Wifi or using our phones. The river is a short walk down the road.
