"Cozy Upper Room was perfect! The location was wonderful, the accommodations were superb, and the town of Black Mountain was so enjoyable! We really enjoyed eating our meals on the deck, especially our morning coffee. The birds were so vocal in the mornings! And the tub was such a luxury!! We also loved meeting Ottie and Taz, the dogs! The Abbington was a well maintained property, the hosts were wonderful, the rooms were great and the breakfasts were delicious. We would definitely recommend this B&B to our friends."

"Beautiful 100 year old house. Our suite was roomy & we had everything that we needed, including plush robes. The rate was very reasonable & included an excellent free breakfast every morning plus a glass of wine & a charcuterie plate @ 5PM! The only downside was that the house & grounds could use a little TLC. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay & plan to come back again."

"The front desk staff was super friendly and made checking in and out an easy and pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable. In a great location, lots of stuff right around the hotel to eat, shop, activties etc. They also offer discounts at some of the nearby restaurants for staying there. Only thing that kept me from giving a full 5 stars was the pool was closed during our stay. "
