Half Impressed

The hotel room was clean. The heated pool was cold and creepy! There was only one light working in the covered pool. The pool was located to the back side of the hotel and it was very deserted and like I said only one light working and the water was too cold to get in. That was supposed to be one of the hilights of going to the beach to swim indoors in a heated pool. I was very nervous in the pool area even with my husband there. The hot tub was warm.

Middle of the road

I used this hotel for a middle of the week trip to see a concert nearby. It’s a place to lie your head at night after enjoying Myrtle Beach during the day. I can’t see myself on an extended stay as the room is pretty small.

NICE HOTEL

The boardwalk hotel was right in the middle of everything that is myrtle beach. It was very clean and was easy to get any thing you needed With 8 pool’s and a half a block from the ocean there was plenty to do. I have no regret’s about the hotel or any other part of this trip.

Not impressed

We were unaware that we would be in one of the smaller towers. It was small and did not have an in room safe. I was not very impressed with this tower. The room was clean though.

Suffient on a budget trip.

The resort had nice pools, a step was broken, but fixed by the next day. Trash lay in the hallway beside the elevator for two days. Maintenance personnel were friendly, several of the maids were hiding. I had to go and ask two different people for tp.Building needs TLC. I probably would not stay there again. It has great possibilities, but short staffed for the amount of guests. The price was the only thing reasonable, and I would check out other resorts for the same $.

Most people staying there walked and took their kids in strollers to the boardwalk to avoid the congested traffic of the cruisers.

Get your moneys worth

I wanted to add another night to the resort I had already reserved the rest of the week and they were booked so I had to go with this hotel and I got my moneys worth, the pool was the only nice part of the hotel.

The stay was great staff was friendly... Maid service was very nice and came by and left the room spotless.... I would recommend this hotel to anyone families couples its very relaxing right in from of the beach i stayed in the main tower for a great price...and was located very convient of the attractions and food places i give this hotel five stars....

Not impreessed

Hard to find parking. They said they had internet, but only in one building. Dining room small and dirty. No one watching the pool to inforge the rule.s

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!!!

Horrible hotel. Not worth what we paid for. We were put in the south tower. The pool & jacuzzi where nice but there wasnt any near bathroom if you were in the pool. The room wasnt cleaned all wk. I had to call & complain. When we got there our sheets had old dried blood stain & they didnt change it all wk. There was also cockroaches. Wouldnt stay again even for free!!!

Even though the pool & lazy river & jacuzzi is nice for the kids. Its not worth the headache. Very dirty. Didnt change sheet all week. Cockroaches in the room. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!

Not impressed

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The carpets in the hallways looked like they have never been vaccumed. The elevators seemed like they were about to fall apart at any moment. The first time I rode down on the elevator the door opened while the elevator was still moving. The door to my room felt very unsecure. The room had a funny smell and the table and arms on the chairs were sticky. I had to go buy some cleaning wipes to clean the room. Note: There are four towers that make up this hotel. I was staying in the north tower. I walked over to the main tower and the elevators were a lot better and the hallways were cleaner. I don’t know how the rooms are. The other towers may be better than the north tower, but I will never stay here again.

Unsatisfied

When the hotel says check in 2 o’clock, just hope you are not wanting to get in by 2 o’clock. It took us until after 3:30 to get check in. Their response was they were still cleaning rooms. The carpet is pretty dingy and needs repairs to the elevators. We wanted a nice place and spent the money for ocean front and missed most of the afternoon the first day because we couldn’t get checked in. We felt they cheated us on our vacation.

Broadway at the beach is 2 blocks away down 21st ave north with great dining, shopping and entertainment.

A good hotel

A good hotel to stay at if you’re not going to spend much time in the room! Our room was literally the size of our bed, but it had a microwave, fridge, and dinnerware. The balcony was tiny, but sufficient and had a view of both the ocean and the city. The staff was friendly and kept the room stocked w/what we needed.

Not as close to surrounding attractions as it seemed. Beach is perfect and the pool is more then satisfactory.

Great for Young Adults

I stayed in the North Tower & the hallways were not in great shape but the rooms are good. New mattress & updated bathrooms. Great location for liquor store up the block to the left on Kings Highway, steak house, & supermarket which is about a mile walk. All bars are about a 10 - 15 dollar cab ride to Broadway at the beach. Hotel pools were clean & nice relaxing area in the grass.

Not so happy vacationer!!

Our stay at the Boardwalk Hotel was average. At first, there was a lingering odor in the room that made me question how clean it really was. I was impressed with the bathroom facilities, as they appeared updated and formatted nicely. After walking all day, it was enjoyable to go back and take a nice, comfortable bath. My biggest concern was the maid service. It was obvious they hit and missed different spots throughout our eight day stay.Certain garbage was left in the same obvious spot throughout our stay. The BIGGEST problem was the fact that I found out they do not change the bed sheets every day. Again, we were there for eight days, what were we paying for??? I understand that you may not change your own house sheets daily, but that’s not the point. We were on vacation and paying others to provide a service. They don’t know what went on in the middle of the night or how dirty you were when you got back from sightseeing. My particular situation was that my daughter pead the bed two of the 8 nights. I automatically assumed they’d be changing the sheets; however, to my dismay, I ran into the maid and verified the second occurence to see if she had changed them. She stated she had no. To think we slept in "dried up" urine soaked sheets the first time disgusts me. Again, what were we paying such a high price for?!!!! The indoor pools were dirty, as you could feel the slime on the bottom.

Rent a car. Even though, it states its in walking distance, isn’t always the case. Cabs r too expensive!!!!

Boardwalk Stay

The elevator was extremely dirty and the hallways looked dirty as well. So, as a first impression, it wasn’t very appealing. However, after staying there, the staff were very courteous and the room was decent for what we were charged to stay there for.

I would love to go back!

It was a great hotel! We went over New Years and had a great time. We will probably look to stay there in the summer months.

It is only a mile away from broadway at the beach. It is great for the bar scene and going into a taxi

Kind of old and not up-to-date.

The hotel was comfortable, it had a nice kitchen and the bathroom was set up nicely. The hotel was kind of old and out of date, which gave it that boring look or not to clean look. I think if the furniture and appliances were more modern then the place wouldn’t look so old. Other than that the place was nice and affordable and you get alot for your money!

The building was old. No internet access except in the main tower. parking was difficult.

Nice and relaxing

I enjoyed the hotel, everyone was nice and they had alot of pools. Only 1 out of the 6 were heated. Would have been nice to have at least 1 more heated. One was just to cold to get into. Overall it was great and they had alot of areas to relax in.

Lots of things to see within a short driving distance.

Not What I expected

This hotel is not the grandest of them, but all in all it was ok. The office is across the street which is an inconvience, and we had only 2 towels in our room upon arrival. After 8 hours of calling the main desk every 2 hours, I finally had to walk across the street to get towels, wash cloths and toilet paper, but other than that and trying to find which building all the things are in, it rates an ok with me for the money. If I had to pay the full price and not get the discount through booking with Expedia, I would say no.
